Highlights
  • Sea Life Manchester - Begin your journey at SEA LIFE Manchester with our interactive Turtle Beach experience. This one-of-a-kind 3D projection guides you through the life cycle of a sea turtle, from egg to ocean!

Embark on an adventure into the world’s underwater cave systems and encounter some of the most bizarre and intimidating creatures. Get up close with our spiny lionfish or observe the toxic and dangerous porcupine fish, also known as the pufferfish.

Be captivated by the stunning moon Jellyfish in our interactive color-changing tank. Choose a color and see these unique creatures from a new angle as they drift gracefully and mysteriously. Did you know that Jellyfish lack brains, stomachs, blood, hearts, and eyes?

Discover the fascinating world of sharks, but first, you’ll be transported to a realm of deep-sea creatures hidden in a shipwreck. Try to spot our young common octopus, Octopus Prime, who loves to hide in the crevices of her tank. Walk under the viewing tank and watch our blacktip reef sharks swim above you!

Stroll under the sea through our incredible glass tunnel. Schools of shimmering fish swim alongside you while our massive green sea turtle Ernie glides overhead. Keep an eye out for our napoleon wrasse Bonaparte with his striking blue eyes and elegant fins.

Observe sharks and rays gliding effortlessly in our tropical ocean tank, surrounded by hundreds of vibrant ocean fish. Ernie the green sea turtle often comes to greet you here, and you can even see our divers and SeaTREK guests exploring the underwater world.

Enter Stingray Bay and be enchanted by our cheerful and smiling rays. Let their lively nature lift your spirits in this serene and magical space. Follow the rays around the tank and admire their swift movements, including our blue-spotted ray and Cal, our friendly rescued baby leopard shark.

Ever wanted to touch a starfish, tickle a sea anemone, or feel a crab’s shell? Now’s your chance at our interactive Rockpools! Our experts will be available to teach you more about these fascinating micro-habitats and the amazing creatures that inhabit them.

Finally, visit Conservation Cove to learn about our conservation efforts and partnership with the SEA LIFE Trust. Let your little ones participate in our interactive turtle game, helping baby turtles reach the sea!

Don’t miss our sandbox with hidden dangers you might find at the beach. Dig them out and discover what they are!

Turtle Feeding Experience Amazing! - We visited the sea life centre for a turtle feeding experience as a gift for my daughter’s 8th birthday. Elm and Kyle were our guides - they were really knowledgeable and super friendly. We had a brilliant time and will definitely be back - thank you so much.

!Swim with Sharks! - a near miss!! - I had booked a !Swim with Sharks! for my grandson and my brother on Thursday 18th July, unfortunately they were delayed so were not going to get there in time for the 30 minutes prior to 2.00pm Sea Life - we explained the situation to the staff who contacted the staff at the cage and they agreed to wait for them to arrive {they did explain that there was a time limit, but the experience might have to be rearranged} - luckily they did arrive in time and thoroughly enjoyed their experience. All the staff we met/spoke to were all very professional, polite and very helpful.

Sealife says gay rights - Everything was wonderful! The gentleman on the front desk gave me one of his pins from his lanyard! I even gained a girlfriend while walking through the tunnel tank (very romantic)

Educational, awe inspiring and calming. - Pleasant, friendly staff. Smaller inside than I expected. I came for research purposes, found it a little dark for sketching but nonetheless grateful to see wild fish close up. Enjoyed the ocean tunnel with the rays sea turtles and sharks etc swimming overhead.

Great location, and some decent exhibits - I did this with my merlin pass , so obviously was good value , and then I could do the rest of Trafford centre . All in all a good day out . The main tank has zebra sharks which are one of my favourite species , and also a large green turtle . There is a snorkelling cage in the main tank , which would give amazing views of the sharks , rays and turtle and that the spectators are also visible from the tunnel . I have done a similar experience elsewhere , and would love to do the snorkel cage . However the cage is booked at a flat rate per session for upto 4 people . It would be great value if I could persuade 3 more people to come with me , but alas no luck . The rest of the exhibits are pretty standard for sea life , doesn't have anything other places haven't got . The location with all-day free parking and other attractions makes for a really good day out .

So disappointing - Very disappointing. Lacklustre, cramped and extremely outdated. It cost £149.75 for 5 people, naive of me to expect that the experience would reflect that. The VR experience was so outdated, blurry and practically soundless. Would have been happier if it were half the cost, brass neck pricing for what you get in return. My advice is to avoid unless tickets are available for half price (and then some).
