Super consigliato!! Grazie Ashara e soprattutto grazie Nino, molto simpatico e gentile :)

An explosive evening!! - The evening and night excursion to Stromboli was the prelude to an absolutely surprising and overwhelming natural spectacle. Furthermore our guide, the young Giovanni Di Giorgi was something more than a guide. His attention to all hikers and the competence with which he informed us about the phenomena we were admiring make him unique. Thanks to your organization and passion which gives those who participate an unforgettable experience. Franca and Arturo

Stromboli by night... a must-see excursion - Stromboli by night... highly recommended. We left Tropea for Stromboli on the excursion boat at around 2pm. We arrived at around 4pm and had 4 hours to explore the island on our own and swim in the sea. We went back on the boat at 8pm and then experienced Stromboli by night in action from the sea side. We arrived back at the port of Tropea at 11pm. We had a great trip.

May 2024 on Stromboli - The hike was not so hard in terms of physical effort, but at times it was a little scary - the darkness, the irregular terrain, no railings. However, our guide was very careful and nice which made everything a lot easier. And in the end it was totally worth it. The views were spectacular! Not only on top, but all along the way. I'm so happy we did it. Definitely a must if you're visiting the island.

Stromboli is worth a go - The track up and down was moderate. Well worth it to see the spectacular bursts of lava at night. The guide was very informative with interesting facts.

Bring Hiking Boots!! - It was hard to rate this because there were 2 parts to the rating. The part with the walk and the volcano itself was a solid 5. It was gorgeous, memorable, inspiring and all those other over the top adjectives. The hike itself I would rate a 2. Once again, the rating for this is partially on me and partially on the guide. The very LARGE mistake I made was not wearing hiking shoes. I was wearing something more like chucks. This is not good enough. I repeat, this is NOT GOOD ENOUGH. YOU NEED HIKING BOOTS. The first half of the hike was fine but after that it is really steep with lots of rocks and loose gravel. I fell a half dozen times at least. Also, it says you need to be fairly fit for this. There is no “fairly”’about it. You need to be very fit. I saw two people burst into tears near the top because they couldn’t go any further. The guide was nice and knowledgeable but a bit of an inattentive husband type. He just sort of marched ahead leaving everyone to follow and coming back down we were in the dark with helmets and lights on our foreheads. He would stop from time to time but if you fell behind it was kinda on you. I’m not unfit. I workout with a trainer twice a week and walk constantly as I live in a city. Would I do it again? Probably not, even with the right gear but the volcano itself was so very beautiful and magical that I’m glad I did it! If you decide to go, bring hiking shoes or rent them there. Go with others in a group to look outback for each other.
