This is an excellent way to see some of what Orkney has to offer in a single day. Hop on the ferry in Scrabster that departs at 8.45am, visit Orkney and return in the same day. Great tour, great guide! - This was an amazing tour! Garry was so knowledgable about the Orkney Islands, and he took me to some amazing sites, like Skara Brae, Ring of Brodgar, and Stones of Stennes, and he gave me some free time in Kirkwall to explore and have lunch. Plus, we went to a few other lesser known sites that were just as spectacular. I was the only one on the tour, and I was pleased that Garry ran the tour with only one person. Most other tour operators would have cancelled. He is very professional and customer focused. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who is visiting Orkney!

Wonderful day tour in the Orkney Islands - Wonderful day tour in Orkney. Got lucky with great weather and a small group. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and I enjoyed learning about the history of each of the places.

An Orkney Daytrip of sheer pleasure - Chris meet us at the Ferry terminal and we set off. Very very clean, modern and comfortable van. His driving is very safe and considerate plus willing to stop for lots of quick photos. We saw everything on our Orkney itinerary plus more… Chris gave so many tricks, historical facts and info that we just fell in love with Orkney… We had a magnificent blue sky day and the vistas and panoramas were breathtaking.. all memories capture on photos for sharing. Thanks Chris for being the perfect guide, driver and storyteller.

Great tour and informative - Great tour and operator who was informative and knowledgeable. Weather was rainy and windy but we wet still able to see all that was advertised.

Great option for a day trip - Very interesting quick trip round the island. Good value given the price of taking the car over if you're looking to hit the hotspots on a day trip. The guide Dougie is very knowledgeable with a warm manner about him.

Make the most of a day trip to Orkney. - Do this tour if you’re on a day trip from Scrabster.Its really nice to be picked up from the ferry, taken round for the day and dropped back. Dougie our guide was friendly and told us lots of facts and stories about what we were seeing which brought it all to life.

Great daytour! - The tour Dougie gave us was amazing and fully packed with information, facts and stories. There was also time to fill in yourself to either have a break for a drink or lunch, or look around at the sites we were at. The tourguide was very knowledgeable, an excellent driver and answered all of our questions. We took the ferry from Scabster and the tour was planned perfectly around the ferry schedule

Neolithic Time Travel - What a wonderful experience this was! Dougy, our tour guide, took us through a four thousand year adventure. Skara Brae, The Ring of Brogdar, Scapa Flow, the list goes on! The tour was seamless! We walked off the ferry from Scabster straight up to the people mover (they give you clear instructions). Dougy is so knowledgeable - all the history at his fingertips and he’s such a lovely guy. Then, Garry very kindly lifted us back to Kirkwall, as we’re catching the ferry to Shetland from Kirkwall. I cannot recommend Orkney Travel highly enough! Awesome!

Good tour, bad guide - The tour was fairly good with the exception of Dougie, the leader. The first thing he did was belittle me for trying to explain my husband's cleithrophobia and need to sit by a door--any door--in the van. There were only five of us, and the others had no complaint with assisting my husband's need, but Dougie was mean--downright cruel about his tirade about taking turns in the seating, and unbending in his rules. He then proceeded to march like a military leader many meters ahead of the group consistently, though there was no need for it, as we had no dawdlers. He could have walked with us briskly and spoken with us along the way like most cheerful guides do. But he was clearly not in a social mood. The weather wasn't great and that wasn't his fault, but it wasn't the worst either. The sights were fantastic and well worth the trip, though too much was crammed into the time we did have. We were friendly among the group members, but Dougie made no real attempt to be friendly with the group. I was glad to be rid of him. I can recommend this trip with the exception of this specific guide.
