The Gede Pangrango National Park, encompassing 24, 270.80 hectares, is geographically situated within three districts; Cianjur, Sukabumi, and Bogor. The park is among the original five national parks in Indonesia, established by the Minister of Agriculture on March 6, 1980. Before earning its current status, the park’s forests were recognized as the heart of the Cibodas Biosphere Preserve by UNESCO in 1977.
