• Ryogoku Kokugikan - The tour starts with walking along Sumo Stadium and Sumo museum while seeing the Sumo stable where sumo wrestlers practice. The guide will talk about historic background of Sumo and Sumo wrestling. Sumo museum displays every sumo related things such as sumo wrestler’s attire, Dohyo sumo wrestling’s ring. The museum is closed on Saturday, Sunday and national holidays.

As we stroll through the lively Sumo district, our guide provides insightful historical context and ushers us into these cultural museums. The walking tour commences at the Sumida Hokusai museum, housing 1800 exemplary woodblock prints by Hokusai and his students. Post a leisurely stroll through the Yasuda Japanese garden and a relaxed break at Ryogoku terrace café, we step into the Japanese sword museum, a place teeming with swords, armour, sword fittings and more, also presenting a video that illustrates the intricate craftsmanship involved in sword making.
