Surabaya - Explore Cemara Lawang village

Cemorolawang - After checking in at your hotel, your driver will take you around Cemara Lawang Village, which is near the entrance to Bromo. Discover the Hindu Tengger culture, visit the local market, enjoy a cup of coffee in a local home, and stroll through the fields.

Seruni Point - This is a great spot to watch the sunset, offering stunning views of the Bromo crater and the Sand Sea.

Bromo sunrise tour

King Kong Hill - Starting at 3:30 AM from the hotel, a Jeep will take you on a 45-minute drive to Kingkong View Point (2,600 meters above sea level) to watch the sunrise. Be sure to wear a jacket and long pants as it will be cold. While waiting for the sunrise, you can enjoy a hot drink to warm up.

Sand Sea - After the sun rises, your Jeep driver will be ready to take you down into the black volcanic Sand Sea. If you want to walk through this magnificent landscape, just ask the driver to stop. Otherwise, the driver will take you to the parking area where your hike to Mount Bromo begins.

Luhur Poten Temple - The Jeep will park near Luhur Poten Temple, which is still actively used by the local Hindu community. It is often closed, but if open, you can ask to take a look inside.

Mount Bromo - From here, it’s a 45-minute walk to the top of Mount Bromo. Take your time to explore this inspiring greyish landscape. Bromo is an active volcano located in the middle of the Sand Sea, a protected nature reserve since 1919. Depending on the volcano’s activity, the Indonesian Center of Volcanology may issue warnings.

Blue fire & Ijen crater lake experience

Ijen Crater - The mesmerizing blue fire phenomenon can only be seen at night, so you’ll depart at midnight. The drive to Paltuding, where your hike to the crater lake begins, takes about 2 hours. Ijen crater lake is one of the largest blue fire areas in the world. Note that blue fire is a chemical reaction between volcanic gases and the air, not lava. Upon arrival in Paltuding, your local guide will provide gas masks. Climbing down into the crater of the active Ijen volcano, which has the most acidic lake in the world, is dangerous and only for those in good physical condition. This part of the tour is at your own risk. Afterward, you’ll walk back to the caldera to watch the sunrise and view the crater lake. Be inspired by the green-blue lake surrounded by brownish crater walls. Take your time to explore.

Jagir Waterfall - Jagir Waterfall is located on the way to Ketapang Harbour. If you have time and energy, you can visit this beautiful spot.

Ketapang Ferry - You will be dropped off at Ketapang Harbour, where you can take the ferry to Bali. Returning to Surabaya is also possible for an additional fee of USD 25.
