A full day trip in Surabaya City visiting: Submarine Monument - KRI Pasopati 410, a Whiskey Class Russian submarine used by the Indonesian Navy in 1952, Kayoon Flower Garden Market, Heroes Monument and Museum Perjuangan, which houses some of the weapons used by the heroes of Surabaya. The House of Sampoerna, owned by PT.HM Sampoerna, one of Indonesia’s largest clove cigarette factories, features Dutch Colonial architecture from 1858. Next, visit the Mosque and Tomb of Sunan Ampel, a member of Walisongo, the nine Muslim saints who pioneered the spread of Islam in Java. Pass by the Red Bridge (Jembatan Merah), the site of intense fighting in 1945. Further down the Red Bridge is Kembang Jepun and Hotel Majapahit, formerly known as Orange Hotel/Yamato Hotel, which served as a hub for Dutch activities during the independence war. The last stop is Grahadi Building, a convention hall and the official residence of the East Java Governor.
