Surabaya to Cemoro Lawang, Bromo

Surabaya - Guests are picked up at Surabaya airport, hotel, or train station by our friendly Surabaya driver. Travel by car to Cemoro Lawang in the Bromo area, which takes approximately 3 hours.

Cemoro Lawang - Upon arrival in Cemoro Lawang, guests check into a local hotel or guesthouse. Relax and unwind. Meet with our licensed and experienced Bromo private guide for a brief overview of the Bromo sunrise tour, which begins at 3 am the following morning.

Bromo Sunrise Tour

Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park - At 3 am, guests are picked up by our licensed and experienced private Bromo guide. Travel by jeep to a hill to witness the breathtaking Bromo Tengger Semeru sunrise. Descend the hill to explore the Bromo crater, savannah, sea of sand, and, if possible, meet the native Tengger people in their worship area.

10 am: Return to the hotel for breakfast and a short break.
11 am or 12 pm: Check out of the hotel and travel by car to Lumajang.

Lumajang - Arrive in Lumajang and check into a local homestay. Prepare for the next morning’s Tumpak Sewu waterfall trek, which begins at 5 am.

Tumpak Sewu Waterfall Morning Trek

Tumpak Sewu Waterfall - At 5 am, begin the drive to Tumpak Sewu Waterfall, which takes approximately 2 hours. The road is winding, so please be prepared. Arrive at the waterfall area by 7 am, the ideal time for a clear yet not overly bright view of the surroundings. The view of the waterfall is truly stunning. Guests will also see Kapas Biru Waterfall. The path, with its traditional bamboo fence, can be slippery, so caution is advised.

10 am: Return to the car and drive to Banyuwangi, which takes approximately 6 hours.

Banyuwangi - Arrive in Banyuwangi and check into a local hotel or guesthouse. Relax and unwind. Meet with our Ijen private guide for a brief overview of the Ijen trek, which starts at 3:30 or 4 am the next morning.

Ijen Sunrise Trek

Ijen Crater - At 3:30 am or 4 am, guests are picked up by our licensed and experienced private guide for the Ijen Sunrise Trek. Witness the sulfur miners as they hike up carrying sulfur stones in their wooden brackets daily, fulfilling their family needs.

9 am: Return to the hotel for a short break.
11 am: Check out of the hotel or guesthouse. Travel by car to Ketapang harbor to take a ferry to Gilimanuk harbor, Bali.

Gilimanuk - Arrive at Gilimanuk harbor, Bali. Guests are picked up by our Bali driver and dropped off at their hotel in Bali. Tour concludes.
