Highlights

Surfers Paradise - Embark on a cruise from Surfers Paradise heading north towards Tipplers.
South Stradbroke Island - South Stradbroke Island, the southernmost sand island in Moreton Bay, spans 22km and is a protected Conservation Park managed by The Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service.

Upon arrival at Tipplers, guests have approximately 3 hours to enjoy this slice of paradise.

Guests can either relax or join our tour guide on the ‘Tipplers Walking Trail’. This 45-minute guided round trip walk, suitable for most fitness levels, takes visitors across the island through a stunning dense forest of Australian native vegetation to the secluded eastern beach. Here, the only other visitors might be a wallaby or two!

This remote eastern beach on South Stradbroke Island is an ideal spot for photos, offering views south to Surfers Paradise in the distance. It’s also a prime location to witness the Humpback Whales during their annual migration from June to October!

Tipplers Cafe - After returning from ‘The Tipplers Walking Trail’, guests can unwind and order lunch and a drink at Tipplers Cafe, often accompanied by native wallabies!

‘Beachcomber’ will be moored or anchored nearby for those who wish to return to the boat to enjoy fishing or relax on the water in comfort. Our skipper will be on board to take care of you!

Runaway Bay - Cruise back past local landmarks to the pickup spot at Surfers Paradise.

A sightseeing cruise is a highlight as we travel past the sights of Surfers Paradise’s high rises, glamorous homes, marinas, and theme parks, north into the waterways and wilderness of Southern Moreton Bay Marine Park to our destination on South Stradbroke Island - with not a highrise in sight!

At ‘Tipplers’ guests can enjoy a Guided Tour through South Stradbroke Island’s Conservation Park - The ‘Tipplers Walking Trail’.

Wildlife spotting will be a feature of this tour, so keep a watch out on both sea and on land!

Thanks for a wonderful experience - My 3 kids and I had an amazing day out. Relaxing and welcoming atmosphere, snacks, drinks and blankets provided. We were able to relax as we cruised through the water. We saw dolphins and learnt all about the amazing houses along the way. At south Stradbroke island we walked to the beach where we searched for shells and relaxed. Followed by lunch, fishing on the way back and then stopped to see the pelicans I can’t recommend beachcombers charters enough. Wonderful experience 😊

Don't think twice, just book! - We spent a really beautiful winter afternoon on the water with Amanda and Andreas who are such informative and friendly hosts. We dropped in at Charis to watch the wild pelicans being feed en route to Tipplers. The best thing about this tour is that it's leisurely and is quite flexible to explore places, drop a line in, walk across Straddie to the ocean side ...whatever you want to do, Andreas and Amanda will do their utmost to accommodate you! Straddle is only accessible by boat, so its almost like you get to see the secret spots on the Goldie that not many get to experience. The beach on the oceanside is just a 10 minute walk across the island and is beautiful, wild and nobody to be seen for miles! Definitely my favourite!! We also enjoyed lunch under the trees at Tipplers to celebrate two birthdays in our group. Just on a practical level, on the trip home when the temps dipped, the boat's clear screens got dropped down to keep the wind out, so its weather proof too! All up this was such a memorable afternoon spent with good friends on Beachcomber and everyone had their favourite bit. It felt like a mini-vaca 🥰

fabulous - Had a great afternoon. Skipper Andreas and Amanda were wonderful hosts and really helped make my birthday special. Even fitted in a short fish up at the island and landed a serious flathead. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Brilliant afternoon on the water in winter - Thanks Amanda and Andreas for a fantastic afternoon on the water. We absolutely loved the experience! The amount of time out was a perfect mix of time on the boat and the opportunity to explore North Straddie. The extra detours to see the pelicans and other birds was great! Thanks for being such great hosts!
