Pleasant afternoon in Ayutthays - Really enjoyed Johnnys tour, the temples and river cruise were a great way to spend the afternoon. Loved the 100 yr old Resturant early dinner too. This was my second Ayutthaya tour with Johnny, did it with him last year with other family members. Wouldn’t miss it!

Very good value for a varied excursion - A very enjoyable afternoon and early evening to trip. Lots of information about tye temples given by our guide, Johnny who was great fun and informative. The dinner was surprisingly good. Our driver, Mister Charoon was also excellent.

Recommend - Great tour! Guide very knowledgeable and friendly. The meal was fast quick and very good. I did not know until later that you could add hotel pickup for extra cost. Allow time to travel to pickup spot- traffic terrible that time of day. Driver dropped us at the pier since we were staying riverside! Highly recommend if you don’t have all day to spend or want any early morning departure

Informative and fun - Would have loved a little more time at some of the visit locations. Was very informative but would have loved for more information on route as the guide was then in another bus

Interesting excursions, fun boat ride and great food - Fine arranged with pickup and drop off, good driver (did not speak English) and very friendly guide. The boat ride was lovely, neat in time for the sunset and the food was very good, with beautiful views. The dance was cancelled, because the dancer was unfortunately ill.

Hotel pickup option used... - Hotel pickup option used was terrible. They sent a car but the driver simply parked in our hotel basement parking lot and waited. She was supposed to stop by in front of the lobby where we waited. After more than 30 minutes operator called me and said to go to the basement. We walked around the basement looking for our driver but not possible to find among lots of other cars. I was then forced to call the operator again using my US phone. Lots of confusion and language barrier. Even handed my phone to hotel concierge who also got confused even being Thai himself. After 1:20 mins we finally hooked up with the driver who had been sitting in her car in the basement all along. Entire tour was delayed because of our driver. While exiting parking lot driver hit brakes so hard that guide fell down. Bus speaker system battery pack or transformer burned and the smell was pretty bad. Speaker system once fixed was pretty bad. Tour itself was fine. If operator would improve these things we would recommend the tour.

Not great… - Mediocre be honest… The guide did not talk much, not sure because a mic was broken or he was just tired… there was a burn rubber smell in the bus on return. The boat trip was lovely however no body danced.

A scam! - Horrible! It was a scam. I booked a tour. The morning I recived a whatsapp saying that the tour was cancelled because not enough poeple signing up and I was offered the tour of the next day. I replyed I couldnt because I had a flight back. Eventually for some reason I see I was charged twice (!) For a tour that was cancelled! There is no way I can contact viator. Not recommended!!!

Not as advertised schedule! - This tour was not as advertised, hence I do NOT recommend choosing this operator for your trip to Ayutthaya. The place and it’s historical features are worth their visit, but this tour did not meet expectations or even it’s promise. We left Bangkok at 1pm and reached our first stop 2h20 later. Instead of visiting 3 sites in Ayutthaya we only visited 2 which is a big difference. We got 40 min at the first stop (entrance fee of 20 baht included) and 50 min at the second stop (entrance fee of 50 baht included). This was ok. According to the advertised schedule we would spend 30 min at Wat Chaiwattharanam too, but we never did. At this is the most impressive temple of them all! We just passed it by boat and that is not the same thing. Visiting the two sites during the afternoon sun light was definitely a plus. The cruise was a pleasant 30 min ride, but with Wat Chaiwattharanam as the only real thing to see. After that followed a satisfying set dinner. I talked to the guide about the missed stop and he replied easily he was a freelance guide and that I should talk to the office. He clearly was not aware this stop was supposed to be included, so I showed him the tour on Viator. Again, if you like to visit Ayutthaya, do so, but do use another tour operator. One who does indeed what is promised you. Contacting the operator (via Mimi) about this experience before posting this review, resulted in no reply, which left me assuming that once the money was paid, they clearly didn’t care anymore.
