Great choice for beginner downhill mountain bike riders - Perfect beginner downhill bike from the national park. The crew was very experienced and gave good recommendations and made sure that safety was the main priority. At the end, there was an excellent Thai lunch at the lake. Highly recommended.

Very fun but advanced beginner - My husband and I really enjoyed this day trip but I would say that this is more of an advanced beginner track. You share the road with trucks, motorcycles and other bikers quite frequently and the path, while very wide, is poorly maintained in some areas. I wouldn’t have been comfortable doing this track if it was my first time downhill biking. That being said - we loved it and would recommend it!

Downhill adventure - This was a fun day if you can ride a mountain bike on gravel trails. It's mostly downhill except for one 400m significant uphill. Bike is good and safety gear was adequate. Lunch good, bring your own electrolyte drink and snacks for energy.

Bouncy but fun run - The guides are really friendly and professional. Spoke English well. The bikes are hard tales and the run is not smooth at all so your body acts as the shocks instead of the bike. I’m an experienced mountain biker and I would say it’s likely an easy run for Thailand but it will be most enjoyable if you have a little experience. If you have your own helmet use it, theirs are a little shady. It’s steep terrain with switch backs and a little uphill/flat. My watch clocked it at about 15kms. I got a little woozy going up in the truck. But over all it’s a super fun run and worth it. Beautiful views along the way.

Not so Beginner - The expereince was fun and quite adventurious but the only reason I am giving this 4 out of 5 stars is this was definitely not beginner. The trail we went down was quite tough and at times dangerous. The trail had been trenched out due to rian and cars so with any rain the trail was slippery. Definitely not for someone who hasn't ridden a bike on anything besides the road. Nonetheless, the guides were great an patient with everyone. I had a blast and was sore for a few days after. The scenery was incredible and the lunch at the end with a beer was just the way to end off a tough day.

Get your itinerary in advance - Make sure you confirm where you going and what is in store. We spent over 1.5 hours at Hmong village that seemed really excessive, we were all bored. Additionally, going down hill on a paved winding road with scooters, tuk tusk and cars is not mountain biking. Rather just get a scooter if we were not going to trail ride. Buyer beware.

Good trail riding, but.. - My family of four went on one of the Doi Suthep mountain bike trips (beginner level) in December 2018. We enjoyed the day, due to the great guides and interesting terrain and fun trails. A few caveats: keep receipts (we paid cash in full in advance, but when the day arrived they didn't seem to have a record of that). Also, carefully check the bike you get to ride (my wife's bike had a rear derailleur that wasn't functioning properly and the bike my son used had brake issues that needed tending twice on the trail). And lunch was so-so. Recommended for the great riding, helpful guides and scenery.

Guides were wonderful but the owner skips on maintaining gear, unsafe trip! - Guides were great, bikes were good but owner doesn't maintain the safety gear, the velcro on knee pads was worn away, came lose often - when trying to adjust I crashed (I should have stopped but I was already trailing the group), trip to the hospital was the safest part of the adventure, do not recommend.

Not as expected.... - We booked route #1 (the 'Eagles route') which is advertised as being suitable for beginners. I was somewhat surprised when in the briefing the manager asked if we had done mountain biking before ( we had) and described it as 'quite difficult'. It did not seem suitable for beginners given how steep and rocky it was. The large covering of very dry leaves over hard ground made matters a lot worse. Even when applying the brakes it just carried on skidding down.Several of our group fell off, 1 with quite a serious injury. One lady just go off her bike and walked it down. Even the group doing the more advanced trails described the dry leaves as a big problem and quite dangerous. I guess it depends on the time of the year but i ended up feeling misled about what i had booked. Not exactly fun....I ended up cuts and bruises which impacted the quality of the rest of my holiday. Also, the guide's English was not the best. I had hoped to learn a lot more about the plants in the jungle or the Hmong people for example.Oh well....

Not as advertised - This is anything but a beginner run. Going to the top of the hill the guide said we would do pavement going down hill but after 100 meters it turned into dirt ruts covered in slippery leaves and very steep. I’ve ridden lots of trails and this is a 4 out of 5.
