perfect dayout :D - Take care to chose the right trail for your experience. When they say advanced it actually is an advanced route... and I heard that the beginners rout was quite difficult too, but everybody enjoyed the program. Recommend :D

Simply The Best - It was not my first MBK trip - but definitely one of the best! The briefing held was highly educative and professional, never the less with a good pinch of humor. Listening to the briefing already assured me that we are in highly professional hands! The bikes we got were used, but top of the range! The staff immediately changed break cables from left to right and vis versa if the biker was used the other way around. We started on 1100m altitude (if I remember correctly), in the mist, above Chiang Mai near the mountain palace, crossed through a picturesque village with scenic hanging gardens full of flower beds in all colors and then gradually biked up to 1580mA. At times it was steep and difficult, but also challenging and fulfilling! I thoroughly enjoyed the "hard work" part! The 2 guides were alway near but and helped with advises and guidance. Afterwards we had a great 10-12 km downhill, first through Dschungel, then lychee orchards and farms. We took it easy and stopped here and there. Back at the car park we were offered to take another 10 road trip to the restaurant, wich part of us accepted. It was of course different to the MB track, but still very rewarding because you come across villages, schools and temples. Gradually back into real life! The end was a great meal (Glaces chicken on steamed rice with morning glory and a bowl of soup) The ride back to town was short And fast - in spite of the traffic. We were 7 participants and 2 guides and got a great connection on this trip - almost like after a bonding or team building exercise... Jayjay and team, thanks for a wonderful day!

SO MUCH FUN - My boyfriend and I took the number 2 ride down Doi Suthep mountain. We were the only ones out of a group of about 30 to sign up for it, however about 4 more joined us later. The tour was well organized & our guide was a lot of fun as well as knowledgeable about the land. Number 2 is definitely a hard ride and made for the adventurer!

Simply amazing - At first I kept contemplating on whether paying £30 pounds for a few hours of mountain biking would be worth it, hell yes it was worth it!!! Can't believe I even had to consider it. I went on my own, choosing the Highlander Route (No. 2). After reading the brochure I knew it was a real tough route. I do a lot of road cycling and have tried out mountain biking before so I actually wanted some uphill in the trail and didn't doubt my abilities. I got picked up straight from my hotel and dropped off at the shop for the equipment and safety briefing. The bike looked well maintained and was great. I rode with two other guys plus our guide. We were all very similar ability so the descents were good, everyone always on others' tails. The day I did this had been raining all day and it carried on like this the whole time. This made the trails really slippery and as a result the uphills were so hard. I realise I had three weeks off from training by the time I did this so I wasn't in my best shape, but I must say this was one of the more difficult physical activities I've had to do. Those uphills look easily doable when you look at elevation, but the state of the uphill trails being narrow and bumpy made this very difficult. The rain made it way worse. So much energy was being spent purely on keeping the wheel going in a straight line. Everyone kept putting their foot down. Only the ironman triathlete amongst us managed to get up, but even he kept putting his foot down and struggled at places. This course definitely requires an exellent fitness level. There are of course easier courses available. The ride itself was amazing, just amazing. I would not find anything like this in the UK. Sadly it was foggy so for the view part of the ride there wasn't much to see. Definitely need to take some food and plenty of water with you, I consumed about 1.5 litres, and the second we were finished by the lake and had food I just couldn't stop drinking coke to get more fluids down me. Even the food was really nice and I had a quick swim in the lake to wash off the sweat and grime. Taking extra socks clothes with me was probably one of the best ideas I've ever had, definitely needed them. I got taken back to my hotel again and that was it. Would happily do it again. These trails were immense!!

Get a move on! - We did 2 trips wit the team. Started with the more easy route 2, as it gives a good combination of XC, downhill and uphill. The start point was combined with many other groups. Before getting up the hill everyone gathers / is collected to the shop where equipment and water are handed out. We had a few more people for our trip though they bailed out, leaving just the 2 of us and the guide. A well guided trip on decent bikes with mainly off road trips. Be reminded that the lunch is at the end of the trip! So if you get to work hard bring some snacks. Our 2nd trip was way out of Chiang Mai, route 6. Jay - Asian Pro Athlete was our guide. This promised to be hard work :). Not too bad. After a steep start (which we could have skipped), the route was a nice combination of up and a lot of downhill. But an absolute gorgeous variation of routes. Wide road, xc, single trails. Finishing off with a fast down hill which was partly on normal road. This route definitely requires some more skill. Ard picked us up on the 2nd day and as we were going far out, he made sure our bikes fitted well and were in good shape. Alltogether 2 fun packed days! We will be back!
