Good experience - Our second trip with guide Nui from AP Travel. Again we were picked up from our hotel this time on a half day tour to Doi Suthep and Palad temples. Very interesting trip made more so by Nui’s knowledge. We asked at the end of the trip if we could be dropped off in the old town of Chiang Mai instead of the hotel and Nui was happy to oblige. Fond memories of our visits to Chaing Mai and our guide Nui both trips were a reasonable price too for a private tour.

Great evening trip. - Really enjoyed this evening trip. We were picked up at 4pm in a mini bus. The traffic was busy leaving Chang Mai. The ‘Hidden Temple’ in a lovely setting in a forest and was very peaceful. The driver told us about the different parts of the temple. We then went to Doi Suthep temple. From there you could see the whole of Chiang Mai. The sunset was hazy but the view was still good.

Amazing Tour - This week my wife and I went on the Half Day Doi Sutherland and Palau Temple tour by private car. We were fortunate enough to have Mr Gobi as our tour guide for the second time (upon our request). I have to say this was one of the best tours we have ever been on and was made even better by having Mr Gobi as our guide. The temples we were taken to were amazing and Mr Gobi was a wealth of knowledge on the history of not only the temples but the countries past. We found Mr Gobi to be easy going and friendly with a great sense of humour which kept us entertained. He felt more like a friend than a tour guide by the end. We enjoyed his knowledge and company so much that we requested he take us on the next tour we had booked. We’d also like to give our driver, Mr Boo a shout out as he was an extremely careful driver who managed to navigate the windy roads to our destinations. We highly recommend this tour!

Elephants, culture and warm hospitality through Gobi and Boo - Our visit to the Elephant Hospital in Chiang Mai and the King's Elephant Camp was one of the most impressive experiences I have ever had. It was fascinating to see how important it is that elephants learn from their mahouts how to behave during a medical examination. Of course, even the most experienced mahout cannot always guarantee that an elephant will remain absolutely calm. Therefore, the legs of the animals are secured during treatments with ropes – a measure that ensures not only the safety of doctors and caregivers, but also that of the elephants themselves. Anyone who hastens to label this practice as cruelty to animals probably did not understand how responsibly it works here. Both in the hospital and in the sanctuary, the needs of the elephants are met with so much love and care that you can feel how well the animals are doing there. Our guide Goby and our driver Boo have taken the whole experience to a new level. Goby was incredibly friendly, charming and full of knowledge. He not only explained everything about the elephants, but also gave us deeper insights into Thai culture and the life of the Mahouts that we would never have otherwise gotten. After the elephant visit we explored a local market together, where Goby told us so many details and stories that the trip was unforgettable for us. Also our previous tour to two temples was just great. Goby impressed us with his extensive factual knowledge and insights into Buddhist culture – something made even more special by his own experience as a former monk. I can only recommend this tour to anyone who wants to discover the true Thailand. The combination of nature, culture and knowledge has made our stay in Chiang Mai a unique experience!

Great tour - Nui was fantastic, very knowledgeable and kind . Really enjoyed the private tour . Would recommend this to others. Took me a while to write this but wanted to make sure others are aware of this good tour operator. I would use them again if and when I go back to Chiang Mai.

Amazing experience! - Chiang Mai was our eighth major city visit in 24 months, we did tours in all sometimes more than one. This is the first time we have felt compelled to write a review about our tour yesterday. Why? Because our guide, Nikki, was just amazing. So incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and thoughtful. We got a real insight into Thai Buddhism, meditation, the way of life, culture and history of the Lan Na kingdom. We really could not recommend this tour highly enough. Thank you Nikki for a fabulous morning 🙏

What an Experience! - During our stay in Chiang Mai we booked three private tours to Wat Prathat Doi Suthep, Chiang Rai/Golden Trangle and Doi Inthanon National Park. The tour company had assigned the same guide and driver to all three tours. We very much appreciated not only the extraordinary knowledge and communication skills of our guide ‘A’ as well as the driving skills of she driver but also their company. Guide and driver are shown in the pictures attached. We highly recommend AP for sightseeing tours around Chiang Mai.
