Ice caves during summer - We hesitated on doing this tour since we knew the ice caves would be melted. We were so wrong!! They were beautiful even in summer, our tour guide Laura was great, she knows very interesting facts about glaciers, crevices, moulins, erosion, etc. My 10 and 14 Year old kids really enjoyed it, they were taught on how to get ground ice with rappelling anchors, and other fun facts about ice caves. Will definitely be doing it again. Totally worth it !

10/10 Would Recommend! - This tour was one of the coolest things we experienced on our trip! Being able to climb inside the glacier into naturally eroded caves was like something out of this world! Definitely worth the cost if you’ve never experience Ice Caves before!

Ice Caves are worth the trip! - This tour is worth driving 5 hours to experience it! You descend below a glacier into an ice cave. The nature lighting and ice provide for a great experience. I would recommend staying in Vik either the night before or after the tour since you will cover 2.5 hours of the 5 hours back. The ice breaking off the glacier creates a "graveyard" of small icebergs. Worth the trip!

Great tour thanks to great guide - Pavel is a great guide! He led the tour with passion and also took the weakest members of the group into consideration. It was a great experience and we would do it again and recommend it at any time. Noemi & Yannik

Fantastic Day out on the Ice! - We had a super knowledgeable guide. I appreciated her joy in telling us about the Glacier and about the Cave experience. She was helpful and patient with some of us who needed more time to get used to the crampons and/or take pictures in the cave. Both the guide and the driver ( who also guided a small group) were a wealth of experience and knowledge.

A wonderful glacier hike with a great guide - We had a fantastic time with our guide, Filip, on a glacier hike with pick-up at Jökulsárlón lagoon. (Since it was heading into summer, most of the ice caves are unsafe, but we did get to peek into one and take a picture in a fun little crevasse.) It was a bit of a last minute decision, so we were delighted to find space for the two of us on a tour. We met them in the parking lot (no big sign or anything, just walk around asking for Blue Iceland) and hopped into the giant vehicle for the bouncy road to the base of the hike. We were outfitted with safety harnesses, crampons, and helmets. The booking said this would be a 3.5 hour experience, but Filip was happy to show us things and tell us about the environment and the glacier as we hiked, so it ended up being like 5 hours with a large chunk of that spent on the glacier. As an added bonus, Filip was great about taking pictures of everyone as they were on the rope bridge or in the ice crevasse, but he also brought along a drone camera and sent us the photos afterwards. We'd definitely recommend Filip and Blue Iceland to others.

Ice slumming it - So much fun!! Great mix of hard work and silly fun but also safe and informative. Truly enjoyed on the ice.

Highly recommend. - We really enjoyed this experience and it was a highlight from our time in Iceland. At the meeting point we drove a short distance to the glacier where we walked for a short distance on the glacier to the caves and canyons (can't remember the proper name). It was absolutely gorgeous. Our 2 guides whose names I won't try to spell (a lovely younger girl and a gentleman with grayish hair) were absolutely brilliant. The group was quite large and a few people were very slow but the guides made sure that we kept moving so we didn't miss out.

Not in April - The low rating is only because they are supposed to close at the end of April. The place is very beautiful, the guide is great but the sun is starting to melt the ice
