During the winter months, the beach is especially magical, as the ice formations are often covered with snow, and the Northern Lights can be seen overhead. - Vatnajokull National Park - Located in southeast Iceland, Vatnajokull National Park is a protected region. It was founded in 2008 and encompasses around 14,141 square kilometers, making it Europe’s largest national park.
