Glacier hike is 10/10, Ana is a lovely guide - We had a lovely 5hr hike with Ana as our guide. She was amazing! Very patient, kind and enthusiastic! We were so lucky to have her as our guide. A beautiful tour with amazing views and experience of hiking a glacier.

Fun time! - We had a great time with Phillip as our guide. He was very knowledgeable and kept us all safe while showing us a great time. It was nice that they had multiple guides so it felt small. We had a larger group in our tour, but only 8 (including our family of 4) in Phillip’s group so it made it more intimate and easier to feel safe.

Come for the work out stay for the view - We felt safe and cared for throughout and the views were spectacular. They could have dropped us a bir closer to the start of the climb as other tours did, but it was a minor inconvenience. It was a good workout, but not technical or overwhelming at any point.

Great glacier hike - This was a well run and well organized tour. I'd suggest you take the 5 hour not the 3 hour tour if you have time as you will see much more of the more interesting/higher up parts of the glacier. As this (like all other) glaciers have receded, it takes ~ 45 minutes to an hour just to get onto the ice. The bus ride drops you off about a mile (estimated) from the start of the glacier and you walk/hike that part prior to gearing up with crampons, etc. Same deal on the back end. (FYI - there were some smaller vans/tour guides that seemed to park much closer to the actual glacier than where the Troll bus drops you off - if you are time constrained maybe research those). The glacier hike itself is a pretty good hike/climb. I didn't have my tracker on, but you should be in somewhat decent hiking shape to do this. If you are a hiker and use All Trails and can do 4-5 mile moderate to easy hard trails, then you'll be fine. This isn't a walk in the park however. Every day on the glacier is different due to the continuing movement/melting. The guide was having to find "today's" best path up, which makes this an interesting adventure.

Skaftafell Glacier Hike - This tour was fantastic, 10/10 would do it again. It's incredible to be on the glacier and the views were amazing. We got to rappel down a crevasse and explore different areas of the glacier. We always felt safe and the pace was good. General FYI---the temperature on the glacier is about the same as on the ground, so dress accordingly before putting the gear on

Top-notch ice hike - Family activity. We were taken care of by Katerina our great guide who gave us a wonderful experience. We spent a real visit on the glacier for almost 3 hours. I recommend Troll Expeditions for all activities (we also did Snorkeling Silfra with Lou our great French-speaking guide). Troll expeditions was a perfect contact for organizing our activities and very responsive to all our requests by phone or email. Many thanks for these wonderful moments.

Great views- Great hike- NIIICE - This was an amazing experience. Augustine was our guide and he was perfect! He was patient and explained everything that we needed to do. I would suggest eating a good breakfast before you go, and pack some snacks and water. You have to have ankle covering hiking boots or you will have to use theirs. If you aren’t in good shape, you may struggle. It was moderate for us and we hike/work out regularly.
