100% recommended - We had a fantastic time ice climbing on the largest glacier in Europe, with the help of our highly professional guides. In comparison to other tour providers we saw on the glacier, they provide everything to keep you safe (other providers may not even give you helmets or crampons), offer very useful information throughout the trip (we learned a lot about glaciers), and the ice climbing was a fun, although exhausting experience. We had zero previous experience, and still managed very well - the guides are helpful and encouraging, so give it a go! I'd recommend layers of clothing (in June the weather can vary from quite warm to icy cold ) with some waterproofs on top, but make sure you have room to move. Also, the bus taking you the glacier leaves on the dot, so make sure you arrive well before the allocated time slot. 100% recommended!

10/10 - Excellent tour to fully explore the glaciers in Iceland. Otherwise I think it would be impossible to walk in them. Highly recommended

You won't regret to join their tour!! - We are very glad we chose trollexpeditions and met Syra as our guide to the glacier hike and ice climbing!! We're a group of 4 and we are from Taiwan. We booked a private tour which include glacier hiking and ice climbing. The entire journey was pleasant, our guide Syra is so funny, very informative and also take good care of us. She took a lot of great photos for us. And she encourage my parents to try ice climbing when they were hesitating about going up. All of us made it in the end and left no regrets. There are so much unforgettable memories during this tour and made our stay in Iceland even more colorful!

South Coast and Glacier tour - A beautiful early winter's day to enjoy this trip. Sunshine and crisp air. We enjoyed our day on the South coast visiting Skógafoss, Seljalandsfoss, Gljúfrabúi albeit the time to include the latter is a little tight. I recommend to do that first and then return to the visible waterfall which you pass en route to the parking area. Of course, Reynisfjara (Black beach) is also visited. It was rather quiet on this occasion which is always preferable! The main focus of the trip is the glacier walk on Sólheimajökull (which is stunning) and great fun. Nat, our guide on this visit was excellent with eyes everywhere and very knowledgeable. She was very friendly and professional especially when explaining how to fit the crampons and to walk on the glacier. She displayed excellent patience to a very nervous individual in the group. She really is an asset to the team. We did this as a small tour and whilst I enjoyed it , the pace on the glacier was a little slow - I do accept it has to be given the range of fitness level and abilities of the group. I would do the glacier again but with a private guide. The mini bus is comfortable with charging points and WIFI. Gylfi our guide and driver was friendly and helpful. I have used Troll a couple of times now and have no hesitation in recommending them for small group tours.

Not so spectacular Iceclimbing - We had wonderfull weather so the tour was nice. We were 6 people and two of them where unfortunately over 70 and not so fit so the tour was very slow. Our guide was super nice. But we had a little bit more adrenaline and adventure expected.
