The staff is friendly. The kayaks and very cost efficient. The location is perfect.

Knew we wanted to explore the waterway near Swansboro. Quick search revealed 4 places to rent kayaks. Pogie's website provided concise information and their prices and availability were great. Our friendly host quickly got our life vests and offered suggestions on where to explore and we were in the kayaks and on the water in just a few minutes. I have almost no prior kayak experience but I really enjoyed this adventure and will definitely be back!

The rates were the best around and make it affordable for families to have fun, which we are grateful. Even though we had already checked in, another customer was trying to pay for something and the internet went down. It took a long time to come back up, so we had to wait the entire time since there was only one employee on a Saturday at 11am. It was a young guy, and while he was nice, there was zero communication or instruction. We told him it was our first time and he still offered nothing. Not a single word. Thankfully, it’s not too difficult, and we figured it all out. It would’ve been nice to have some tips or some of the islands pointed out. When we got back, there were some other employees present and they were much more friendly and good at customer service. All in all, we’re glad we tried it and intend to do it again.
