The greatest and most personal excursion of our whole trip - My wife planned all our excursions this year. When we got to Australia I expected more of the same type of outings; big bus, lots of people, and a somewhat bland drive around the countryside. I was so surprised when Matt drove up in his SUV. The adventure was only the two of us on a personal tour with Matt. The experience was way beyond what I expected. He first asked what we most wanted to see and planned the adventure around our expectations. Matt was friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable. Some of the highlights included:
1_ Guided trip into the wilderness to experience plants and nature and beautiful views of mountains, rivers, and ocean.
2) Trip to an animal rescue center where we got to pet Kangaroos, Emu's, Koala bear's and get up close with Tasmanian devils, and birds native to the country. That included hearing a Kookaburra laugh.
3) Walk to a stand of trees covered with beautiful, huge bats hanging from the trees.
4) Trip to ocean beach for a lunch and walk along the seashore where there were spectacular vistas, waves crashing up on rocks around us, pools in lava rock, and even a close up encounter with a pelican.
Matt's knowledge was so deep and he had answers to all our questions. We even tasted a few plants Matt taught us about. By the end of the trip Matt was more of a friend then a guide.
This was the best guided tour I have ever experienced.

Do not miss this tour!! Amazing - The tour explored an extensive variety of local and unique experiences from a born and raised Australian!! Little details, like stopping to see dogs playing in a dog park or viewing lots (and lots) of bats in nearby trees, made all the difference. Extremely knowledgeable on all things bush, sea and animals. You must do this tour over well others. It was a highlight of our trip from the US.

Best day EVER! - If you really want to get the feel of true AU, Matt is the man! He is very personable, knowledgeable and customizes your day to fit your desires. We went to so many places and had such a good time. We highly recommend his services, You won't regret it! Best part of our time in Sydney was our day with Matt. He even arranged a private Koala for us!

Australia Sydney Trip - The One Day Private with Matt was perfect. The sights, the animals, the history, the pictures, the interaction, the laughter, and the genuine fun had between my wife, I, and Matt was a highlight of the our trip. The stop at the Australian Walkabout Wildlife Park was extremely memorable and the information provided will be remembered for a long time. The other highlight was an impromptu stop to see the flying foxes prior to dusk, simply amazing.

Amazing private wildlife tour - Sydney and Surrounding Countryside. - We have to say, this was one of the best tours we have ever taken - yes it was that good !!
Matt was our tour guide. His enthusiasm and knowledge of wildlife bubbled though all day and we learnt much about the Australian countryside around Sydney. Matt took us to several places, many of which we were the only people there. He started the tour with a brief visit to Sydney harbor so we could stop for sone iconic photos before we left the city and headed into the countryside.
Our first walk was though the Bush where Matt taught us the names of several plants and trees and explained their significance in terms of the how the indigenous Aboriginal people used the flora for medicinal and eating purposes.
Matt’s knowledge of the area meant that we took in many amazing sites from various vantage viewing locations.
Our second main stop was at the Walkabout Wildlife Park where we had an amazing encounter with a Koala (named Arnold) who was the most alert Koala we have met. We also walked amongst several different types of Kangaroos and Wallabies, and Emu’s and we were able to interact with the animals as they were fed. Our interaction with animals at this park was the best that we have encountered during our two week vacation in Australia.
Finally we spent time at a couple of beach areas in investigating the geology, flora and fauna.
If you have an interest in learning about the wildlife, trees and plants of this part of the world and you are seeking an authentic Aussie experience then Matt is your man. He also took some amazing photos of us during the day and sent them to us after the tour.
Thank you Matt for a truly inspiring and outstanding day in the wild.

Private tour with Matt - I don’t have enough space to describe how great this tour was. Matt gave us the best tour we have ever had, hands down! The wildlife experience, the bush walks, the beautiful beach to which we were taken, to mention just a few of the highlights! Would highly recommend Matt and this tour to anyone looking for a genuine Australian experience!

WOW, great Australian tour! - We had thee most amazing 12+ hours touring the Sydney countryside with Matt. We saw a few great vista points in Sydney before we started to venture outside the City.
We took some short nature hikes with Matt where he would explain the complexities of the harsh bush countryside. We had no idea. We then visited an animal rescue center. We got to get close up and personal with emus, kangaroos, Koalas, meerkats, Tasmanian devils, wallabies, and wombats. Matt even arranged for us to be at the animal rescue at feeding time so many of the animals were quite lively.
After we did some additional exploring, visiting some beautiful beaches and he even arranged for a wine stop at an awesome tide pool. And the wine was quite good.
Matt took pictures with his camera while we toured throughout the day and sent them to us the next day. What a great bonus to chronicle our adventure.
Our time in Australia was limited. We wanted to pack in as much Australian experiences we could in a short time. This tour far exceeded our expectations and my wife and I will have this great memory for life.

Great customized experience - Excellent tour! Matt tailored the day to our liking, offering several options and picking things he knew we’d like. He’s a font of knowledge including plants, animals, the city, the beaches, and the list goes on. We had already seen some of the more popular sites so we were able to explore off the beaten path. Brought us to great places for coffee, lunch, chocolate, and meat pie. Highly recommend!!!!
