Perfect tour for animal lovers to see creatures in the wild! - My wife and I had an amazing time, and Dave does an excellent job breaking up the day with various stops so you aren't doing many long stretches of driving. He brings humor and shares a lot of detailed knowledge about the animals. He is clearly passionate about what he does, and goes out of his way to ensure everyone enjoys the experience. The group is roughly around 20 people which is a nice size, not to large. We highly recommend this tour, it truly was a perfect day!

Great wildlife tour! - Highly recommended! Our tour guide, Dave, went out of his way to ensure that we had a great tour experience, and that were able to see all those special critters that we were looking forward to! Food snacks and dinner were excellent as well.

Brilliant day out! - We had a brilliant day with Dave. He was very entertaining and knowledgeable about all the animals, not just Wombats and kangaroos. We saw beautiful waterfalls, ate great pub grub and finally got up close with the animals. Everything was done in a very respectful way so as not to disturb or hurt the animals but we git some great pictures. A lovely tour.

Very good excursion with a few caveats - Dave and his assistant were great and imparted lots of information on our drive and at each of the scenic points we visited. We were able to see lots of Kangaroos, wallabies and wombats. Our only caution is unless you’re on one of the first pickup spots you’ll be relegated to the back of the bus. Seating is one seat on the left and two seats on the right. We ended up with each of us sitting on the left, one behind the other. Definitely not how we expected to sit for an eleven hour excursion. For a long day this wasn’t the most comfortable situation.

Good tour but a bit too long - We mostly enjoyed this excursion. David is excellent as a guide. The van was new and clean. Some nice lookout spots along the way and we saw Wombats, Kangaroos, a Wallaby and Kookaburras. Lunch was tasty and David provided snacks and non alcoholic drinks. Dinner was in a cute pub but the food wasn’t great. At least mine wasn’t. Also, this excursion was too long. I know you have to wait till dusk to see the Wombats so maybe start the tour later?

Disrespectful towards Australian wildlife and other tourists - If you respect wildlife or other tourists then ‘Perfect Day’ is NOT for you. As you can see in a recent review, there is a video of a wombat grazing next to a black car while tourists take pictures with it. This is our car and the complete and utter disrespect for myself and my partner was outrageous during the groups visit to Bendeela Campground. The treatment of the wombat in the video was also unacceptable. I would like to say that we do not blame the tourists for their actions, only the tour guide as he was responsible for them and should know better. Firstly, as the group off the bus and ran towards the wombat, which was in front of our car, the guide allowed them to crowd the animal so tightly that it hit its head on our bumper. It was obvious that the wombat was blind and so needed more space. The guide continued to encourage the group to crowd the animal as it made its way around our car towards the ladder of our rooftop tent where we had laundry drying. One tourist made her way onto our ladder and began having her photo taken with our underwear drying on the line and the wombat underneath. As you can imagine we were extremely uncomfortable and at this point asked the group to give us some space. This was ignored by the guide and he spent the ne xt 20 minutes taking pictures of every tourist with the wombat right next to our car. My partner and I felt like animals in a zoo. How we felt is irrelevant in comparison to the treatment of the poor, blind wombat. Every conservation site we have been to says not to touch wombats and give them at least two feet of space. How the guide, who was Australian, could have this little respect for his own country is upsetting. If tours like this continue to operate then there will be no wombats left in the wild.
