Wow! Amazing - must see! - Fabulous! All the way around, the setting, the talent, the choreography, the vocalists! We bought tickets late and were in the back row, but worth every penny. We love theatre and have seen shows in London, New York, Chicago and Minneapolis and we were absolutely thrilled with the experience. We ate at one of the on-site cafes on the theatre grounds. We could view the Harbor Bridge, Opera House and the moon setting - magical! Well done!

Sydney Opera (not in the Opera House) - Fabulous experience. This was not in the Opera House but outside across the harbour. Glad it didn't rain! Loved the set changes.

It was an amazing show and experience - The opera was beautifully placed in the botanical gardens of Sydney all outside with the skyline of the city as the background. The opera was perfectly sung and the Sydney orchestra was top notch. So glad there was no rain ,it was perfect!

Harbour side show - Going to see thi show was one of the reason for our 3 night short stay holiday to Sydney. Set on the magnifient Sydney Harbour with a stunning backdrop of city lights and fireworks just before interval this is a truely spectacular setting. We travelled to the venue via water taxi from a pontoon located next to the entrance to the Botanic Gardens, a short walk past the Sydney Opera House. Single adult ticket price was $15 but other options included bus, taxi and ride share to the venue enterance. We were unaware of these and had chosen to walk to the Opear House expecting the performance to be close by - it is not. We booked a return water taxi and were very happy when the return trip dropped us at Circular Quay, which reduced our walk back to the hotel. NOTE there is quite a walk from the water taxi drop off point to the venue which includes several flights of stairs which may be a challange for people with mobility issues. We booked mid priced seats (still $284pp) in C block half way up. These provided a good view of the stage and we saw everything. Note that seats at the extreme left of stage in blocks A and B would have poor sight lines and therefore are a lot cheaper. HINT book isle seats if you can as this will help existing the venue at the end of the show. The set is amazingly simple but effective and the singing and dancing wonderful, as you would expect from such a renowned company. This rendition is faithful to the original version and worth seeing. However I doubt younger children would be entertained and the price is high compared to other shows I have seen. I note that as the show started people from the cheaper seats simply moved across to the vacant more expensive ones and nobody tried to stop them, so you might get luckly. Showing till 21 April 2024.

Great show, but horrible exit plans - The setting and talent were excellent! We had Platinum access during the interval which was worth it mainly because of short lines at the restrooms. I’m not familiar with going prices for such shows as it’s my first time in Sydney, but it seemed expensive. The only zero star is the exit. There is little thought given to evacuating a crowd. For older folks or those with mobility issues, I do not recommend this venue.

A let down - Bad seats, bad acoustics and too loud. How they can sell seats in rows A and B is a joke. You will end up with a sore neck as you’re lower than the stage. Seats on the left or right of the stage will also need to contort themselves onto an angle just to see anything. And the seats are rock hard. The singing was way too loud and distorted the lyrics. We’ve seen this show twice before in theatres and thought this would by a unique experience. It was, for all the wrong reasons. Left at the interval. Not good at all.

Did not enjoy - Don't waste your money and your life..hours. YOLO. Time is precious. Don't waste it on this. Sound was terrible and could hear echo/lag from the speakers on the other side of stage. Also sound was over loud and washed out the lyrics. Might have just been this show, on my visit. Venue pizzas - average. Price $22-25

Ruined by the party boat just offshore - Sadly, a wonderful production with a great cast giving it everything was utterly ruined by the party boat pumping out hits just offshore. Couldn’t hear the opera I’d paid for most of the time, and any meaningful pauses were obliterated. Staff said there was nothing they could do: fair enough, but what about management and Sydney harbour authorities or Sydney tourist office? Waste of money, which is a shame because the backdrop, the easy access, the reasonably priced food and drink had the making of an otherwise great evening. A shame for the singers who were wonderful when I could hear them above the noise…
