The tour takes you through the Neapolis park, where you’ll see monuments like the latomie, Cordari’s cave, the ear of Dionysius, the Greek theater (only partially visible during summers due to theater performances), the nymphaeum, Ieron II’s altar, and the Roman amphitheater. We limit our groups to a maximum of 15 people for a more intimate experience. Groups of over six people will be provided with complimentary radio guide receivers. Please note that entrance tickets to the Neapolis archaeological park are not included and must be bought separately before the starting time of the tour, or you can choose the ‘tour + ticket’ package, which includes a skip-the-line entry ticket.

  • Note: during the period of the shows (usually spring and summer) the Greek theater is covered and only partially visible.

Archeological tour - Eva our guide was wonderful. Eva had so much knowledge and was very patient and happy to answer our questions. We did go over the allocated tour tome as we asked so many questions and chatted but she didn’t seem to mind.

Beautiful experience - We had Sebastiano as Guide: prepared (he did classical studies) and captivating, he was able to select the most interesting historical information, combining them with tasty curiosities that only a local can know. Congratulations. Visita consigliata!

Only way to appreciate the archaeological park - Eva was an excellent guide. It would be a wasted opportunity not to take a tour like this to really appreciate the park. Incredible value for a 1 hour 45 min tour. Highly recommended.

Interesting tour in Neapolis with Sebastiano - We were lucky enough to have a group tour where it was just us and the guide Sebastiano; very knowledgeable both on Neapolis and on the many other information he gave us on Sicily in general and on the area of Syracuse and the Vendicari Reserve, engaging and prepared, we liked it a lot, we didn't realize how long the tour lasted. The tour was very interesting and complete, we recommend doing it until May at the latest because then with the heat you can enjoy the tour itself less.

Great experience of Greek/Roman ruins - Our tour of the archaeological sites was one of the highlights of our trip to Artesia. Our guide was very knowledgeable and it was very interesting to see the Greek and Roman ruins at the site.

Site incomprehensible for an additional rate - This visit is a complete scam. I bought an Audio Guide which was useless: the titles did not match the number, and it was impossible to find all the signs. You therefore have no explanation or signs that will help you enjoy this site. Also, of course, I definitely do not recommend going on this tour.
