Highlights
 • Ragusa Ibla - Ragusa Ibla showcases a diverse collection of Baroque architecture in Sicily, featuring numerous magnificent palaces and churches. Enjoy a self-guided walking tour of Ragusa Ibla.
 • Modica - Modica is a quaint Baroque town renowned for its chocolate. The chocolate in Modica is still crafted using the ancient methods of the Aztecs from Mexico. Explore the most famous chocolate shops in Modica on your own or take a leisurely stroll. We recommend visiting the Cathedral of St. George, a symbol of Sicilian Baroque, or the Cathedral of St. Peter. Both churches contain paintings, frescoes, sculptures, and other works of art.
 • Noto - Noto is a gem of Sicilian Baroque! The majority of its buildings, including churches and noble palaces, line the main street and are distinguished by the honey-colored tufa stone.

Additional Information

Today 8.30am be ready at pick-up location to meet our driver and departure from Siracusa in direction of Ragusa Ibla. You have the chance to explore independently the old part of the city and an undisputed reality of Baroque art.
Soon after, you will discover the local Chocolate in Modica. This particular chocolate is made with a very old recipe, the one coming from the Aztecs.
We then continue to Noto. In the Arab period the town was the capital of one of the three districts of Sicily (the Val di Noto) and once defeated by the Christians, Noto became a rich Norman city. Unfortunately, it was totally destroyed by the 1693 Sicilian earthquake and rebuilt in a new position nearer to the Ionian Sea. But the new Noto is a masterpiece of Sicilian Baroque!

Best Sicilian Day Trip with Michele - My wife and I did a day trip with Tour of Sicily from Ortigia to Ragusa, Modica and Noto. We highly recommend Michele, who was our driver, as he turned up on time, was very friendly and knowledgeable and made us Australians feel comfortable while exploring fabulous Sicily. We loved how many places he recommended for us, including the best chocolate in Modica, the yummiest granita in Noto, a fantastic wine (his favourite), a delicious local Sicilian lunch and numerous historical sites. His knowledge of Sicily amazed us and his relaxed nature made our day trip truly memorable. Thank you Tour of Sicily and thank you our friend Michele.

Amazing Ragusa and Modica - First of all, our guide Francesco was top of the class - knowledgeable, helpful and well organised. In my opinion, Ragusa & Modica should be rated as the top destinations in the Sicily. Not crowded, fantastic mountainous landscape and beautiful baroque monuments. It was a great experience in all aspects (local cuisine as well).

Great tour of baroque jewels. - My wife and I greatly enjoyed our day trip to Noto, Modica and Ragusa. The itinerary was well designed and Francesco was a great driver. We highly recommend it, and look forward to taking other Tours of Sicily when we visit Palermo in the not too distant future.

Great Tour of Val di Noto! - I had to let you know that we took a tour arranged through your company to visit Val di Noto, and it was amazing due to our driver, Sergio Canfaillia! Sergio was a most gracious and informative host who went out of his way to show us the best parts of these charming and beautiful towns. He is a great host, and we are recommending him to our friends who are visiting in the fall.

We really didn't feel as if we got... -
We really didn't feel as if we got very much information about the two towns we visited on this tour. We mostly wandered around on our own. There was no commentary from the guide at all on the way home. She answered questions if we asked them, but didn't volunteer enough information. Additionally, the lunch was very minimal considering the cost of the tour. The tour wasn't worth the money we spent on it.
