Boat tour around the island of Ortigia - Boat tour of about a couple of hours around the island of Ortigia.
We took a dip and a nice bath in a beautiful small cove sheltered from the wind and then we had an aperitif with sparkling wine and fresh fruit while we dried in the sun. Finally we went to visit a cave with fantastic hanging stalactites.
Despite the windy afternoon and the rough sea, the boy pilot of the boat was very good and professional and managed the tour in the best way.
Super recommended activity.

Great service - Bellman Billy went out of his way multiple times to make our four night stay enjoyable. Very agreeable gentleman looking for ways to be helpful including detail of how to get the Wrigley Field for a ball game.

Fantastic boat excursion - Guys, I recommend this Operator tour! Kindness, sympathy, helpfulness, friendliness of the three generations we have known and who run Ortigia Island! Fantastic, but a special thanks goes to Gaetano who Guided his new boat hosted us giving us beautiful bathrooms accompanied by pleasant stories of the island he so obviously loved! He made us have fun and dance on the waves of the sea. In short, try it!

Amazing boat ride - Corrado is an expert not only in nautical guidance but also passionate about history, he told us everything he knew about the island of Ortigia and its monuments. It was an exciting trip between sea caves and around the island. Cheerful atmosphere, aperitif and fun guaranteed... especially when crossing the last bridge!! Thanks Corrado. Unforgettable

Worst Tour Ever! - My wife and I took the Ortigia Island Excursion sboat tour everal weeks ago and it was the worst tour that we have ever taken. We met the "Captain" at the boat across from Ortigia and had a tour of approximately 14 people. His name was Michelangelo, but said to call him "Miggy". He seemed cordial at first, but never really acted like he wanted to be there. His enthusiasm was non-existent. We soon departed the dock and quickly realized that Miggy was just there to drive the boat and not much else. There was never any discussion about the history of the area, the caves that we entered, or really anything else. Miggy just acted disinterested in conducting a tour and it was clear that he only wanted to get through the tour with as little effort as possible. Miggy had a couple with him that were obviously his friends. They sat in the back of the boat and they all immediately starting smoking cigarettes. I would say that between the three of them they smoked at least 30 cigarettes in the 2 hour tour. It was like they were on their own private boat and the passengers were just there taking up space.
Miggy said next to nothing on the entire tour. He is not a tour guide, but just a boat driver and not a very good one at that. He was way more interested in hanging out with his friends and looking at his phone. On much of the boat tour he had his hands off the steering wheel smoking and checking his phone. There was even one occasion that he steered the boat with his feet while not even looking at the water. Once the prosecco was poured, he and his friends were more interested in drinking than they seemed interested in his passengers. His friends also could not keep their hands off of eachother, which was really weird. I counted Miggy drank at least 4 glasses of prosecco alone while he had 14 passsengers on a boat. Drinking alchohol while driving a boat is never acceptable. At one point, we stopped for a quick swim and only 2 of the passengers decided to jump in because it started to get cold out. It was a complely dangerous situation because Miggy kepy the outboard engines running even as the swimmers climbed back aboard the boat next to the running engines.
As we returned to the dock and passed unter the bridge with literally 6 inches of clearance, there were no safety discussion and as a matter of fact Miggy laughed as he accelerated under the bridge which is so dangerous.
In short, Miggy is a terrible guide. He told us nothing on the tour which is part of going on a tour like that in the first place. He is a terrible Captain and there were many safety issues that were violated. He drank way too much alchohol to be a safe Captain, and he compromised the safety of all of his passengers. He came in from a tour right before ours. How much did he drink during those 2 hours?
I would not recommend this tour to anyone if Miggy is your Captain. If you show up and he is driiving the boat, please turn around and ask for your money back. It is a worthless tour and your safety is too important get on a boat with Miggy.
