Sunny trip to the Danube Bend - Susan our guide for the day was great. Very informative about all the places we visited, the history of the country and her life as a tour guide. We were lucky with the weather and had a great trip to see a bit more of the country during our stay in Budapest. Highly recommended

Interesting, fun and value for money - Absolutely recommend this tour for history, culture, food and fun! Our driver, Susan, was an absolute encyclopaedia of history and local knowledge. We had plenty of time for photos and were shown some amazing views. Lunch - 3 courses - in Szentendre was delicious and, as a bonus, the restaurant has a wine museum and abundant supply of local wines. Our boat ride back was a perfect end to the afternoon. Definitely recommend Susan very highly!

Fantastic experience - We were 4 danish middleaged+ people with a basic knowledge of the Hungarian History - on a Danube Bend - all day tour - together with Nora and her extremely comfortable Mercedes SUV. I booked the private tour very late - actually only half a day before - and 5 min. after having booked a very nice lady phoned us to ask about our preferences according to car/ bus - and what we would prefer instead of the cruise back to Budapest, which unfortunately - because of the Popes visit to Budapest - happened not to be an option that day. We were lucky and got a wine tasting instead- which turned out to be a great alternative. I felt the tour-organizer really tried to ask for our needs and wishes to make a great tour for us. Our tour guide Nora arrived in the morning very precise 5 min. before time. Nora was both driver and guide for the whole day. It was a demanding task that Nora managed absolutely amazingly. In addition to being a safe driver - she was an amazingly skilled guide: She knew everything there was to know about Hungary's history - both the small details and the big lines - and could make the story super lively and relevant for us. She generously shared her knowledge with us - and made sure to direct us through the points of the day fantastic and exciting day. At the wine tasting Nora not only translated what the Hungarian sommelier told us in Hungarian - she also revealed her big knowledge about Hungarian wine at could explain all the technical details -because she was from raised in a wine family and a sommelier too! We felt we got to know Nora so well - she had a great personality - she was a very openminded and welcoming person - she spoke many languages - even swedish - which helped a lot when we couldn't find the English words - we really felt so lucky and in very good hands with her. We highly recommend this tour for everyone who wants to dive a little bit further into Hungarian history, society, geography and see beautiful landscapes and sights! Great experience! Extremely good value for money!

A great day away from Budapest, with lots of variety, so you see more of Hungary. - We had a great day with Steve our excellent, knowledgeable, English speaking guide. It was lovely to drive out of Budapest into the countryside and see the impressive Basilica at Esztergom & the Castle at Visegrad. There were lots of displays in the Castle and activities for families. The views of the Danube bend were beautiful and we were able to walk over the bridge to stand on Slovakian soil, which was fun! We then drove to Szentendre, a pretty, touristy village on the banks of the Danube with all the usual shops & to enjoy lunch. Unusual to have rice and potatoes with our BBQ chicken but very tasty. After lunch we enjoyed a boat cruise for about one hour back to Budapest, which gave opportunities to photograph all the lovely architecture in the banks of both Buda & Pest. A great tour with lots of variety - recommend it!
