A half day trip you will never forget - Stutthof camp is awesome. The silence here is almost oppressive. You see a photo of Goering stnding where you are. It is much smaller than Auswizch or Majdanek. The important thing to know is it is free entry. The car park costs £2 or £3 for the morning or afternoon. There are no refreshments there, but there are 2 sets of toilets. The gift shop only has books. They don't have many translations into English. You don't need to pay a guide. It is all rather obvioius, and you can manage perfectly without one. Allow a couple of hours to see it all. It is well worth the trip. We drove from Gdansk- about anhour in the car- lovely journey that takes in an ancient ferry across the Vistula just before it joins the Baltic. A memorable day out. Roger Daniells-Smith

Michael, England - A must trip when visiting Gdansk, guided by a very sympathetic and knowledgeable tour guide (Joanna). A good reminder why this should never be allowed to happen again.

Outstanding guide - Experiencing Stutthof is hard to put into words. Things like important, gruesome, awful and thoughtful. Our English guide was absolutely outstanding.

Stutthof Private Tour ... excellent. - Our tour guide was amazing. So good to have someone to guide us through the camp, taking time to answer any questions we had and working with us. He went above and beyond what we expected and made our time there very memorable. Thank you Adam!

Useful Transpirt To Stutthof which Includes English Tour - Mr. Shuttle provides a useful shuttle service from Gdańsk (via the Musement web site) to the concentration camp. Musement are very responsive and helpful: they promptly agreed to move the date of my tour when my plans changed and I was promptly refunded when the operator cancelled my tour due to lack of numbers. You also get a reminder of your tour along with them resending your voucher the day before which is a nice touch. I only found out the evening before that my tour was cancelled via SMS from Mr. Shuttle. I texted back asking if there were confirmed departures on other dates, and was able to visit on another day. But be aware that if your time in Gdańsk is limited and you have booked other activities, that your tour of the camp might be cancelled last minute. In that case, you can Uber to the camp for about $45 (45 minute drive) and ask the driver to wait for you for about two hours as there are no taxis or public transportation near the camp. Note too that while the tour is advertised to leave from the Gdańsk Shakespeare Theatre at 9 AM, with free pick up offered at your hotel between 8-9 AM, if you opt to be picked up at the Shakespeare Theatre starting point, pick up is at 8 AM and the driver then goes and picks up other pax at their hotels. As you are the first in the minibus, you will be asked to sit in the more uncomfortable back seats to make room for the guests being picked up at the hotels. I felt pretty silly having opted to be picked up at the default pick up spot thinking I would get a bit more sleep, only to find the minibus pulling up at my hotel to pick up other guests after me! I therefore recommend that you ask to be picked up at your hotel when making the booking. (Enter hotel name in booking). Mr. Shuttle will advise you by SMS the afternoon the day before your tour what time they are picking you up at your hotel. This tour includes a two hour comprehensive visit of the camp in English. They aim to be at the camp by 9 AM for the start of the tour. Marek, the English speaking camp guide, has a wealth of information about the camp and his English is decent. Note that without a guide you won’t learn as much as most of the exhibits are in Polish only. You will be back in Gdańsk at about 12 PM. Mr. Shuttle should clarify the pick up times in Gdańsk and make clear that the tour of the camp departs at 9 AM at Stutthof and not in Gdańsk, but other than that, he provides a useful service to a camp that is not accessible via public transportation.

Excellent if a bit rushed. - Excellent, informative and moving trip, our guide, Dariusz, was very knowledgeable about both Stutthof Concentration Camp and the impact of WW2 on Gdansk. I would caution future users that you really need a day in each location; Stutthoff Concentration Camp and the WW2 museum to do them justice. Trying to do both in 7 hours felt very rushed. Dariusz kept us strictly to time though and did brilliantly under the circumstances. On the whole very pleased. Thank you.

Stutthof Concentration Camp - This tour was well done. The guide at Stutthof was very interesting and made you think about how this atrocity happened. Very insightful and thought provoking. I learned a lot more about the concentration camps and World War II. The only down side of the tour is that our driver did not speak a lot of English and we had an hour to the site and back from Gdansk. It would have been nice to know a little more about the area.
