- Merajan Agung Kawitan Kebayan Wongaya Gede - Your personal guide will pick you up in the morning, drive through the picturesque, tropical landscape and along lush green rice terraces. Depending on where you are picked up, the journey takes between one and two hours. Of course, there is time for a photo stop along the way, as the drive to the slopes of Mt Batukaru offers some wonderful views.
- Luhur Batukaru Temple - Mt. Batukaru, the second highest mountain on the Island of the Gods, is located in central Bali. The starting point for your jungle trek is the temple named after the mountain - Pura Luhur Batukaru. Balinese people visit the temple for blessing ceremonies, for example before going on a hike or climbing the mountain. If you are interested, you can also take a look inside the old temple before the trekking starts.
- Mount Batukaru - The nature reserve around Mt. Batukaru offers one of the most beautiful and pristine rainforests in Bali. Equipped with a bamboo walking stick, you´ll hiking together through the lush, tropical jungle with huge plants, ferns and old trees. You will cross small, clear rivers and follow the local ranger over hill and dale, who will accompany you in addition to your personal guide. He knows the jungle inside out and will always show you the right way. His knowledge of the flora and fauna of the rainforest is incredible and he is happy to share this with you. He also has some jungle survival techniques up his sleeve - a truly extraordinary nature experience.
-
Mount Batukaru - Enjoy the beautiful nature and fresh air in the Batukaru nature reserve and listen to the sounds of the jungle. You might be surprised to hear the call of a monkey or a bird crossing your path. The ranger is familiar with the animals of the jungle and their voices and knows how to solve the riddles.
The highlight in between is the mystical jungle temple, where you will of course make a photo stop. And while you are looking for the photos of the day, the ranger and your guide prepare a small coffee break. A little later, the aroma of freshly brewed Balinese coffee fills the air, served with local snacks - the perfect refreshment for the rest of the trekking tour. - Balikaru - After this active adventure through one of the most beautiful rainforests in Bali, you can relax a little on the drive to the idyllic village of Belulang. However, there is always time for a photo stop on the way, as the many rice terrace fields offer countless photo opportunities. The clever, terraced arrangement of the rice fields and the ingenious irrigation system make them special not only in Bali - Bali’s rice terraces are known all over the world.
-
Balikaru - A relaxed, short hike takes you along the rice terraces to the Balikaru activity center. On the way, your guide will explain the various tropical plants that either grow wild here or are cultivated by the people of the small mountain village.
And that’s not all there is to know - welcome to Balikaru. Here you can stroll through the lush garden with more than 30 different plants, herbs and spices. Whether ginger, chilli, pandanus or lemongrass - there’s a herb for everything here and your guide knows all about the importance of these medicinal plants for health or in Balinese cuisine. There are also many tropical fruits to marvel at, such as banana, papaya and sirsak. A healthy Jamu drink to welcome you will give you back the energy you need and also tastes delicious. - Belulang Hot Spring - After the lunch break, hike through the picturesque village of Belulang, which is located at the foothills of Batukaru. When the weather is fine, you have a fantastic view of the impressive Gunung Batukaru and two other volcanoes - a fantastic mountain backdrop. When you reach the lower village, the driver is already waiting for you. But before you head on your way back, there is still time to visit the Belulang hot springs. The traditional sulphur spring has many healing properties and the sacred spring is often visited by locals to take a soothing bath. You are also welcome to take a short dip.
- Yeh Ho Waterfalls - Continue off the beaten track and before you return to your hotel or guesthouse, stop at the Yeh Ho waterfall. The idyllically scenic waterfall is surrounded by rice terraces and nestled in beautiful nature. Time for some last souvenir photos of a wonderful, very exciting day in nature.
- Bali - After all these unforgettable experiences, you will return to your accommodation in Bali at around 5.00 pm. Drop off at any point in central or south Bali or at the hotel / violla / homestay you’ve been picked up.
