Well organized, delicious food and helpful and friendly staff. - Awesome experience! It was very well organized and prepared and the people are really friendly and help you every step of the way. Even if you can't cook, you will still make an amazing meal. The food is absolutely amazing and I think the best I had so far. Really fresh (you pick some straight from the garden). And you can enjoy with a view of the UNESCO heritage rice fields. Afterwards you get all the recipes so you can try to make it at home, which I will definitely do! So all in all it's highly recommended!

Exceeds expectations - This was an amazing experience, definitely 10/10. the whole process was so easy and included pick up all we had to do was be ready at our hotel lobby. Every step of the way each guide was helpful, knowledgable and kind. When we started our cooking class we had no idea what to expect but it was easy, fun, and most importantly delicious. We can’t recommend this enough, if you’re looking into it it’s a MUST DO when in Bali.

A fantastic and very worthwhile experience!!! Most highly recommended!!! - We booked this months ago online, and were not sure what to expect, nor did we realize that it was a little way (1 1/2 hour drive) from Ubud. However, it was worth every penny, and every minute, It was a fabulous experience. We were picked up by Karma, and the drive to the farm in the foothills, which is a UNESCO heritage area, was great. We were met by Made, and he walked us through the rice terraces, explaining not only about rice & rice growing, but also all the other crops and fruits, and about life as a farmer in modern Bali. When we arrived at his place we met his wife, Karma, and some of Made's family. After a welcome drink, we walked through the vegetable & spice garden to pick the ingredients we would use in cooking. Everything was well organized, hygienic, and we even got little booklets with the recipes, so we could repeat the cooking at home. Then we cooked together....and wow!! Super delicious, traditional Balinese cuisine, and more than we could possibly eat. The food, the views, and absolutely not least, this families very warm hospitality made this probably the best experience we've had on Bali. Great memories!!!

Wonderful cooking class experience - Booked a last minute cooking class while in Bali. Made Happy collected us from Canguu and brought us to his local village! Made was very informative about the Balinese cultural. I can’t thank you enough for the wonderful experience he and his family provided. This day out also included a 2km walk through the rice fields of his local area. Food was delicious. An absolute must if staying in Bali! Thank you Made and family!

Absolutely recommended!! Really DO!!!! - This is not just a cooking class this is an experience, experience and a memory to remember. We were picked up at our hotel and drove to Jatiluwih. There we started with a walk through the rice fields where ( Made our Guide and cook) told us all about the growth and harvest of rice. Along the way he told us a lot about all kinds of fruits that we could taste from the trees. Arriving at the location it was really breathtakingly beautiful, beautiful views and only friendly and lovely people. We picked the fresh ingredients for the cooking class from the garden. We made a starter, main, and dessert which we ate deliciously. Food can't be more pure and you can taste it! Really an absolute "must-do" if you are in Bali. Thanks Made and your family for an unforgettable experience!

Exceptional - We had an amazing day with Happy and his team. First of all, transportation is included, which is very convenient. Karma is the driver. Then we started with a nice 45-minute walk through the rice fields of Jatiluwih. It was wonderful. Few tourists were there because we arrived early in the morning. The walk was great, and Happy taught us all sorts of things, showed us the trees and their fruits, and let us taste them. Afterward, we arrived at his (organic) farm, where we were warmly welcomed by his wife and parents. We went together to pick the ingredients we needed for the different dishes: starters, main courses, and desserts. It was delicious—only traditional dishes. The dishes were fun to make. He gave us a recipe book so we can recreate what we had just made. Happy sometimes played a musical instrument during the meal, which was a real pleasure. This is an activity I would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone looking for a cooking class. Firstly, because it includes a tour of the rice fields outside tourist hours. Happy teaches us the customs and traditions of his country, the cooking class is enjoyable to follow, and the dishes are delicious. Finally, Happy’s team takes great care of you from start to finish. A truly warm little family. Don’t hesitate! As a bonus, they celebrated our honeymoon with a lovely gesture.

Perfect experience! - A BRUTAL EXPERIENCE!!!!! Edy picked us up at our hotel, along the way she explained details of Balinese life. When you arrive you travel about 2 km through rice terraces until you reach your home and that is where the spectacular experience has been. You pick the ingredients from your own garden, make Balinese recipes (which were delicious) with spectacular views. 100% Recommendation without hesitation.

If you do one experience - do this - This experience is amazing and a must do when in Bali. The family are so beautiful and made planning super easy. The drive itself was lovely and then we got to walk through the rice fields with Made who was informative and passionate about his village and area. The chance to walk around his land and pick the vegetables we needed was fun! And getting to cook the whole meal together from scratch was awesome. We get to take a menu book home with us to try out the dishes at home. It was so special to experience a micro-business that was authentic and demonstrated such vibrant ideas for sustainability and supporting the whole local Community. Thank you to the whole team for making our day so special and memorable

Must do in Bali! - It was the best experience in Bali without a doubt! First, a super pleasant walk through the Jatiluwih rice fields early in the morning, without heat and without people, in which Made told us interesting facts about the environment and rice cultivation. Then we arrived at Kubu Terrace to start the cooking class in which we ourselves harvested some of the ingredients that we were going to use in the menu. The kitchen area has incredible views of Made and his family's rice fields. The food is delicious and of exceptional quality, much better than what you can try out there. Also, since you cook yourself, you can moderate the spiciness. During the day they explain all kinds of things related to cooking, the environment and their own life and it is very enjoyable and interesting. I think it is an essential and super authentic experience, far from the typical tourist tours.
