Must do in Bali! - It was the best experience in Bali without a doubt! First, a super pleasant walk through the Jatiluwih rice fields early in the morning, without heat and without people, in which Made told us interesting facts about the environment and rice cultivation. Then we arrived at Kubu Terrace to start the cooking class in which we ourselves harvested some of the ingredients that we were going to use in the menu. The kitchen area has incredible views of Made and his family's rice fields. The food is delicious and of exceptional quality, much better than what you can try out there. Also, since you cook yourself, you can moderate the spiciness. During the day they explain all kinds of things related to cooking, the environment and their own life and it is very enjoyable and interesting. I think it is an essential and super authentic experience, far from the typical tourist tours.

Very nice and tasteful experience - We had an excellent and delicious time with our Kubu Terrace Cooking Class. We also liked the fact that the activity was a complete package, with pick-up and return service. The class is beautifully located in the Jatiluwith region and reached after a hike through the delightful sawahs. The Cooking Class is small scale and run by Made Happy with family & friends. Plenty of personal attention. We started with picking/cutting most of the ingredients for a solid “bumbu Bali” from the - organically grown - garden. This gave us a good vibe and understanding of the richness and diversity of Balinese vegetables. After the three course meal, we ended with a tasteful homegrown Bali coffee. We are definitely going to prepare the learned dishes at home (Netherlands) for our friends.

Delicious cooking experience in the middle of the rice paddies. - Pick-up from hotel was organized, followed by a safe trip to the Jatiluwih area with Kharma. Great explanations about many things on Bali. At the Jatiluwih we started a nice guided walk of approx. 30 minutes through the rice fields with extraordinary views. At the cooking class we were guided around and pick the necessary organic herbs for the meals. The cooking class itself was fun, with great view of the paddies. Delicious curry, and rice dishes were prepared. Also fun for adolescents when cooking in an authentic Balinese area. Very much recommend.

Eyes and mouth - After walking in the rice fields, we don't know where to look so beautiful... We arrive under a light cracker in a place that pays no mine but very quickly the warm welcome of our host warms our heart. A few explanations and here we are picking up the ingredients needed to make the meal. No less than seven courses, two sauces and a dessert are offered! No difficulty with recipes. The Owner speaks a few words of French So no fear at this level. It was a very rewarding experience that we had and highly recommend.

Great trek in the rice terraces and cooking class!class! - My sister and I had such a great day and something we will remember for a long time. It's 1.5hr drive from Seninyak but it was worth the drive. It started with our driver Wayan, he arrived early and was informative and very friendly. He stopped and bouggt water and he even bought some of my favourite fruit for the ride home (he went the extra mile) The scenery is stunning and we loved the short trek prior to the cooking class. The cooking class was so much fun and super delicious. We also was provided with the recipe book to keep....Best day!

Huge recommendation - an experience of a lifetime - Absolutely fantastic, authentic and present experience that I would recommend to everyone! After a beautiful trekking trip in the rice fields, we had to pick the vegetables and plants we needed for the cooking. The family was extremely nice and knowledgeable. They guided us through the whole experience, and we definitely didn't leave hungry. Definitely the best meal we've had so far - with the most beautiful view!

A must-do during your trip to Bali! - Amazing experience in a beautiful part of Bali. The hosts were very knowledgeable and catered to several dietary requirements within our group - 1 vegan & 1 kosher! Would highly recommend during a trip to Bali. We were picked up at our hotel in Canggu too.
