Brazilian Border
Tabatinga - The adventure begins at Leticia’s airport. After paying the tourism tax, a local guide will greet the group. Once prepared, the journey continues to the Brazilian border of the Amazon: Tabatinga. Following this, a delightful traditional lunch will be served at a floating restaurant. The tour includes a visit to Leticia and the renowned Parque de los Loros (Park of Parrots). The day concludes with a taste of Caipirinha, a classic Amazonian and Brazilian cocktail. Overnight accommodation will be in Leticia.
Indigenous Communities
Amazon River - This day features a visit to an indigenous community in their Maloka. A light backpack is recommended for the day’s excursion. The journey involves a two-hour hike deep into the rainforest, with rubber boots provided by the guide. Upon arrival at the Maloka, there will be an opportunity to engage with the community and learn about their customs and traditions. Overnight accommodations include sleeping in a hammock and meals provided on-site. An optional night hike is available to end the day.
Leticia to Puerto Nariño
Amazonas Region - Departing early from the Maloka, the exploration continues to other areas of the Amazon. A stop in the Peruvian Amazon includes a visit to an indigenous community. The itinerary also features a natural reservoir to admire the stunning Victoria Regia, Isla de los Micos, and the Tikuna indigenous community. Upon reaching Puerto Nariño, guests will check into the hotel. The remainder of the day can be spent touring the town or relaxing.
Puerto Nariño and Tarapoto Lake
Puerto Nariño - From Puerto Nariño, the journey proceeds to San Antonio del Cacao, a Peruvian island. The exploration includes searching for sloths and discovering the region’s flora, fauna, and history. Returning to Puerto Nariño, another boat trip leads to Tarapoto Lake. Overnight accommodations are in a riverside hut, offering opportunities to swim, fish, explore, and enjoy a night by the firepit.
Puerto Nariño - Leticia
Leticia - The final day begins with a morning at Tarapoto Lake, followed by a return to Puerto Nariño and then back to Leticia, concluding the trip.

- Operates in all weather conditions, please dress appropriately
- Long pants, long sleeve shirt, waterproof clothes and anti-mosquito are recommendable.
- We will hand you rubber boots, please make sure to give us your shoe size.
- It is important to carry your own lantern or flashlight. You will walk with it and use it often. On the 2nd and 4th you will be in a place with no electric power.
