Additional Information

Make your way to the picturesque bluff of Tagaytay City, a premier viewpoint that perches 650m above sea level, and admire the Volcano viewing. The Taal Volcano dramatically erupted at 2:36pm on Sunday, Jan. 12, 2020, triggering immediate evacuation from the island. Within the following 24 hours, volcanic debris had spread to Manila and neighboring regions, leading 150k residents to vacate their homes. Following this eruption, the Taal Volcano is now classed as the most active complex volcano. Experience the aftermath up close and take in the striking vistas of the Lake and misty Island.

Following a 2-hour drive, continue your journey to Pagsanjan Falls in the south. Once there, our driver will help you transfer to the paddle raft, where you will navigate through multiple rapids toward the final destination, the spectacular Pagsanjan Falls. Explore the cave behind the waterfall, and if you’re brave enough, take a dip. Note that the rapids are subject to weather conditions and may not be navigable during heavy rainfall, in which case a Vertical Trekking alternative to the Main Falls will be offered, complete with a guide. Enjoy lunch at your own expense in the city’s most historic restaurant.

The falls part were a highlight of our 7-week Asian trip - If we were to do the day trip all over again, I would recommend skipping the trip to Taal Volcano as it took a LONG time to get there and had to be happy with a view of it from afar. The trip to the falls was one of the pilots of our entire 7-week trip to Asia. I wouldn't have wanted to skip that at all, at all, at all. It was that fabulous. The driver was courteous. Prompts punctual and I really appreciated how he pointed out sites for me along the way that I could take pictures of and interesting facts about the country things that I would never have found out otherwise. All in all a great trip!

Memorable Trip up the river rafting - It was a long day with traffic, but the time on the water made it all worth it. The amount of effort our two guides put in to get us up the rapids was something we had never seen before. 16 in total and they worked so hard in an incredible river cavern with sheer walls and other falls made for an amazing trip. Once at the falls, we enjoyed a bamboo raft journey to the go under the falls which was so invigorating along with a 10 minute hang out in the cave. The trip was long. The time at the Volcanoes was not much and I could have just done the river and falls if that was an option. The driver was professional in a great car. We saw a lot outside of Manila, just be prepared that even with a great driver it still took just 3 hours to go 35 miles. Though the views and experiences you see along the way are very interesting.

Waterfall excursion. - This is a great trip, where two locals paddled us up a river to a magnificent waterfall. The river journey goes up 17 rapids and took more than an hour. The locals do all the paddling, navigating, and work--so we were able to take in the wonderful views. We saw Monkeys in the trees, while being paddled through a deep jungled gorge, culminating at a waterfall. We were taken the last 100-yards on a bamboo raft directly through the waterfall into a cave. Fascinating--and wet. We needed the wet because the journey is hot. We spent about three hours in the canoe-like boat.

Excellent service and highly recommended! - Our driver and guide was a real pleasure to travel with. He arrived about 30 minutes before the time we agreed to meet. He was very knowledgeable and pleasant. The car was comfortable and spacious. The tour was well managed, very interesting as well as a lot of fun, especially the Pagsanjan Falls!

Don't miss it - The river boat ride to the falls was amazing, beautiful. Just be aware to bring cash as tips are heavily pushed for for each of the two boatmen and they will also try to get you to buy them lunch. All totally worth it but just don't be surprised like we were! Don't miss this experience!!!!

Amazing trip to pagsanjan waterfall - Our guide/driver vincent arciga pick us up very early morning at our hotel lobby. We stopped for breakfast 30mins on Starbucks and then went to picnic grove to look the volcano. The view of volcano is so amazing. vincent also told us the on the back side of 50 piso bill, we can find the picture of taal volcano. after that we go to baywalk to have more closely view of taal lake,it's so beautiful so we took a lot of pictures. and then we drived to pagsanjan waterfall. 2 boatmans take care our boat and one of boatman told me that he is 63 years old and he still can keep his body shape well just like young man. we gave tips 200 peso for each boatmans. we got extremly wet under the 2nd waterfall and came back safely then have phillipines traditional lunch after change our clothings. the car ride is quite long on the way back to manila metro. it takes almost 3 hours due to traffice jam. but thanks for vincent, he is so nice and introduced phillipines food and cultures so that we are not feeling boring during the trip. we will give 5 stars rating to vincent.

The views and experience are worth the wait - It's absolutely worth the long car ride. Morning pick up was on time, meeting Flor at our hotel lobby, and we got to meet his beautiful wife Larnie. We stopped for breakfast on your own cost, 7/11, Starbucks or jolibees for 40 mins. Then we went to look out of the volcano. Take change for toilets. Then, down to boat station were you have option at your own cost to go look from a boat around volcano. Make sure you take a minimum 7000 for this ride. We got caught short. An hour or 2, depending on which one you choose. Then 2 hours to your lunch spot. This again at your own cost. Afterwards, to the waterfall. This is amazing. You will get extremely wet. Do take a change of clothes and a towel, which can be left in a car with FLOR. The canoe ride is operated by 2 men, definitely not what l expected. They literally pull u up a river over poles and rapids. 2 tiny men pulling 2 western size people. They are very friendly and hard-working. This takes 2 hours and can be uncomfortable if you dont usually sit for long periods. Now l had read that you can tip, l was already to do this, and halfway up realised they deserved more. However, at the waterfall, another guide was very rude and told me,'You better give a good tip'. This turned my experience sour for a bit. It was extremely rude and very aggressive. I spoke to FLOR afterwards on what is usually tipped. He explained that his customers do anywhere between 200 each to 1000. Please keep this in mind. Our trip back to our hotel was very long due to all the traffic. Please take a book or something to watch if you're not a car sleeper. FLOR gave out informatiom through out the tour. Even bringing up our aussie radio station for us to listen to. It was his bday so we were extremely happy to spend it with him, even singing happy bday many times. Would recommend this tour, but make sure you have entertainment for the traffic jams. There were a lot of the phillipines you get to see during the ride, so even passing thru all the provinces is worth the long ride also. Remember - patience, change clothes, lots of tip money, towel, sunscreen, and book/entertainment.

Magical day in southern Luzon - Our driver Raymond was amazing tour guide throughout! We were lucky it was just us, we opted in for the volcano tour as well, which was 6200 php for us 2 total. Be prepared to tip and pay everything in php. And bring water shoes and change of clothes for the falls. Smart to have waterproof case as well! A magical day for sure!!!

Needs to be an inclusive trip so you do not feel obligated to give every person who interacts with you money - The falls were the best part Being cornered to pay extra along the way was a down on the experience.
