An experienced captain, who has a background in both surfing and boating, will navigate you right to the heart of the action! Choose to enjoy the spectacle from the boat’s rooftop for an unparalleled view, or from inside the boat. Spaces are limited, so be sure to book early to secure your spot. The taxi boat departs and returns to the marina at Teahupo’o, which is about 45 miles (75 km) from Papeete. You will need to arrange your own transportation to the marina, either by hiring a car or taking a taxi (at your own expense).
