Tainan - Upon arrival at Tainan HSR station, our guide will greet you and commence the Taiwan tour.
Anping Old Street - Anping Old Street, the first named street in Taiwan, was constructed over 300 years ago by the Dutch in Anping. Initially designed for pedestrians and pushcarts due to its narrowness, it remains a bustling and noisy attraction. Tourists, both local and international, flock here to explore its old stalls and shops. Don’t forget to look up and admire the Wind Lion Gods on the rooftops and the Sword Lions on the door lintels.
Chihkan Tower (Fort Provintia) - Built by the Dutch in 1653, Chihkan Tower originally stood by the sea. Over time, sedimentation has moved the coastline westward, leaving only the fort’s foundations. Now, beautiful Chinese-style structures occupy the site, making it a perfect spot to stroll through the garden and enjoy a coffee before continuing your Tainan tour.
Confucius Temple - Established over 350 years ago, Tainan’s Confucius Temple is a must-see. The ancient buildings and gnarled trees in the forecourt exude history. Confucius, a renowned educator and philosopher, is known to all Chinese descendants. His teachings, which emphasize moderation and the Golden Rule—“What you do not wish for yourself, do not do to others”—remain influential.
Garden Night Market - Known as one of Taiwan’s best night markets, Garden Night Market offers cheaper food than in larger cities like Taipei. Besides numerous food stalls, there are also clothes and games, making it easy to spend 2-3 hours here.
Tainan to Kaohsiung
Fo Guang Shan Buddha Museum - This Buddhist landmark, which houses a tooth relic of the Buddha, opened in late 2011. The 108-meter-high statue here is the world’s tallest bronze sitting Buddha. The permanent exhibitions provide a great introduction to Buddhism’s role in modern Taiwanese society and the history of this global organization.
Dragon Tiger Tower - Located near Kaohsiung HSR station, the Dragon and Tiger Pagodas are two seven-story, brightly-colored towers. Visitors must enter through the dragon and exit through the tiger to gain good luck.
The Pier-2 Art Centre - Once abandoned harborside warehouses, Pier-2 has been revitalized by the local government, encouraging artists and cultural-creative businesses to set up shop. It’s now a popular spot for both locals and tourists, and you can also experience Kaohsiung’s light rail transit here.
Kaohsiung to Kenting
Taiwan Indigenous Peoples Culture Park - In Pingtung, Taiwan’s southernmost city, our first stop is the Indigenous Peoples Culture Park. Home to sixteen recognized indigenous ethnic groups, this large museum offers extensive knowledge about Taiwan’s indigenous people.
Shanchuan Glass Bridge - Take a walk on this bridge featuring aboriginal designs.
Kenting sightseeing
Kenting National Park - Covering most of Taiwan’s southernmost peninsula, Kenting National Park boasts diverse natural scenery, including beaches, coral reefs, forests, hills, pastureland, and sand dunes. In the afternoon, we’ll follow the beautiful coastline to Longpan Park, where you can see both the Pacific Ocean and the Bashi Channel.
Exciting activities or be lazy on the beach
Kenting National Park - We can arrange various activities for you, such as sea adventures, Jeep tours, visits to Long Keng Marine Ecological Protected Areas, and horse riding. Alternatively, you can relax at the hotel and enjoy its amenities.
