Senso-ji Temple - Sensoji (also known as Asakusa Kannon Temple) is a Buddhist temple in Asakusa. It’s one of Tokyo’s most vibrant and popular temples. According to legend, in 628, two brothers fished a statue of Kannon, the goddess of mercy, out of the Sumida River. Despite returning the statue to the river, it always came back to them. As a result, Sensoji was built nearby for the goddess Kannon. The temple was completed in 645, making it Tokyo’s oldest temple.

As a famous symbol of modern Japan, photographers and videographers frequently capture the intersection from various vantage points.

Hachiko - Meet Tokyo’s most famous dog, Hachikö. This Akita dog came to Shibuya Station daily to meet his master, a professor, returning from work. After the professor’s death in 1925, Hachiko continued to come to the station every day until his own death nearly 10 years later. The story became legendary, and a small statue was erected in the dog’s memory in front of Shibuya Station.

Akihabara - Akihabara is a bustling shopping hub known for its electronics retailers, ranging from small stalls to large department stores like Yodobashi Multimedia Akiba. The area also features venues specializing in manga, anime, and video games, such as Tokyo Anime Center and Radio Kaikan, which has 10 floors of toys, trading cards, and collectibles. Nearby maid cafes have staff dressed as maids or butlers serving tea and desserts.

MT Fuji and Hakone Day Trip

Mt. Fuji Subaru Line 5th Station - The 5th Station of Mount Fuji, also known as Fujinomiya 5th Station or Yoshida 5th Station, is the most popular starting point for climbers during the summer climbing season. Located at an altitude of about 2,300 meters (7,546 feet), it offers facilities such as restaurants, shops, and accommodation. It’s also accessible by road, making it a popular destination for those who wish to experience the mountain without climbing to the summit. The station provides stunning views of the surrounding area on clear days.

Oshino Hakkai - Oshino Hakkai is a touristy set of eight ponds in Oshino, a small village in the Fuji Five Lake region, located between Lake Kawaguchiko and Lake Yamanakako on the site of a former sixth lake that dried out several hundred years ago. The eight ponds are fed by snowmelt from the slopes of nearby Mount Fuji that filters down the mountain through porous layers of lava for over 80 years, resulting in very clear spring water that is revered by the locals. Next to one pond, visitors can drink the cool water straight from the source. The ponds are quite deep and have interesting freshwater plant life and large fish. Although the ponds have been developed into tourist attractions and can become quite crowded with visitors, they have a pleasant atmosphere as long as you do not expect untouched nature.

Oishi Park - The best place to see Mt. Fuji. Flowers bloom in profusion every season, and the scenery of the wide lake and magnificent view of Mt. Fuji are the charm of Oishi Park. You will feel calm if you stroll slowly along the promenade where flowers bloom while looking at Mt. Fuji.

Arakurayama Sengen Park - Arakurayama Sengen Park is a famous park located in Fujiyoshida City, Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan. It’s well-known for the Chureito Pagoda, a five-storied pagoda that sits on the mountainside overlooking Fujiyoshida City and Mount Fuji. The park is particularly popular during cherry blossom season (usually in mid-April) when over 600 cherry trees bloom, providing a breathtaking backdrop to the pagoda and Mount Fuji. To reach the pagoda, visitors must climb a steep staircase of 398 steps, but the view from the top is considered one of the best in Japan. Apart from the pagoda, the park also includes the Arakura Fuji Sengen Shrine, which is part of a larger shrine complex dedicated to the worship of Mount Fuji. The park is a popular spot for photographers due to its stunning views, especially during the cherry blossom season and in autumn when the leaves change color.

Lake Ashinoko - Lake Ashi, also known as Hakone Lake or Ashinoko Lake, is a scenic lake in the Hakone area of Kanagawa Prefecture in Honshu, Japan. It is a crater lake that lies along the southwest wall of the caldera of Mount Hakone, a complex volcano that last erupted in 1170 CE at Owakudani.

Owaku-dani Valley - Owakudani is the area around a crater created during the last eruption of Mount Hakone some 3000 years ago. Today, much of the area is an active volcanic zone where sulfurous fumes, hot springs, and hot rivers can be experienced. Additionally, Owakudani has good views of Mount Fuji on clear days. Eggs cooked in Owakudani’s hot spring pools with their shells blackened by the sulfur are on sale at shops in the area, and eating one is said to prolong one’s life by seven years.

Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Jinja Shrine - In the past, Fujiyoshida’s Sengen Shrine used to be the common starting point for climbing Mount Fuji from the north.

Saiko Iyashi no Sato Nemba - Saiko Iyashi no Sato Nenba is a traditional Japanese village located on the western shores of Lake Saiko in Japan. This village was destroyed by a landslide during a typhoon in 1966 and was later reconstructed to preserve and exhibit the traditional thatched roof houses. The village offers a beautiful view of Mount Fuji and the surrounding nature, making it a popular tourist destination. Visitors can explore the traditional houses which have been converted into shops, restaurants, and museums showcasing local crafts, silk production, and other aspects of regional culture. It’s a great place to experience the traditional lifestyle and culture of Japan.

Lake Kawaguchiko - Lake Kawaguchi is one of the five lakes that surround Mount Fuji in Japan. It’s a popular tourist destination known for its beautiful views and outdoor activities.

Mt. Fuji Panoramic Ropeway - The Mount Fuji Panoramic Ropeway ascends 400 meters from the eastern shore of Lake Kawaguchiko to an observation deck near the peak of Mount Tenjo. From the observation deck, which sits more than 1000 meters above sea level, there are panoramic views of the lake below and of Mount Fuji.

Gotemba Premium Outlets - We will visit this place if time permits. Either you can add it to the itinerary or skip other places. Gotemba is regarded as Japan’s premium green tea growing area, with leaves grown at the foot of Mt. Fuji. Shizuoka prefecture is known to be the horseradish capital of Japan and Gotemba itself has several wasabi farms. Note: If you would like to visit this attraction then Mt. Fuji 5th Station will be excluded from the itinerary due to time constraints.

Day Trip Kamakura and Yokohama

Kotoku-in (Great Buddha of Kamakura) - Taiizan Kotokuin Shojosenji, or Kotoku-in, is a Jodo-shu Buddhist temple in Kamakura, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. The temple is renowned for its “Great Buddha,” a monumental outdoor bronze statue of Amida Buddha, which is one of Japan’s most famous icons.

Hokoku-ji Temple Bamboo Grove - Built in the 14th century, this temple features a beautiful bamboo forest, setting it apart from other temples in Kamakura.

Hase-dera Temple - Built in the 8th century, this temple boasts a lovely Japanese garden, Buddha statues, views of the Pacific Ocean, and a unique cave shrine. The hydrangeas are particularly beautiful in June and July.

Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine - This shrine is a cultural center in Kamakura and hosts many of the city’s most important festivals. It also features two museums and two beautiful ponds representing the Taira and Minamoto clans.

Kamakura Komachidori - A busy old pedestrian street with apparel, gift, and souvenir stores, as well as eateries and sweet shops.

Yokohama Chinatown - About 160 years old, Yokohama Chinatown has a population of about 3,000 to 4,000. Today, only a few Chinese people still live there, most being from Guangzhou.

Sankeien Gardens - Sankei-en is a traditional Japanese-style garden in Naka Ward, Yokohama, Japan, which opened in 1906. It was designed and built by Tomitaro Hara, known by the pseudonym Sankei Hara, who was a silk trader.

Minatomirai - We will visit this place if time permits. Minatomirai is a futuristic waterfront with a high-rise observation deck and stylish boutiques at Yokohama Landmark Tower and Plaza. Families can enjoy the skyline from the Cosmo Clock 21 Ferris wheel or tour the 1930s sailing ship Nippon Maru. The Mitsubishi Industrial Museum features dynamic exhibits of rockets and submarines, while Rinko Park hosts summer concerts. Waterside promenades offer upscale bars and eateries.

Shinyokohama Ramen Museum - We will visit this place if time permits. If you want to go, please make reservations first and choose a time of 4:00 pm. Shin-Yokohama Ramen Museum was founded on March 6th, 1994, as the world’s first ramen-themed amusement park. Our concept is to be the one-stop place to enjoy the flavors of this national dish from renowned shops across Japan without stepping on a plane. An exhibition area where visitors can learn about the history and culture of ramen is also located on the first floor. In the “Ramen Making Experience class,” visitors can make noodles using the traditional Chinese method of “green bamboo beating,” and enjoy learning how flour is transformed into ramen. (Charge/Reservations required). Our seven ramen shops are showcased in a street-scape replication from the year 1958, Japan. It was in this year that the world’s first instant ramen was invented.

Nikko Day Trip

Nikko Tosho-gu - On this tour, we will visit the world heritage site “Nikko” with our experienced guide. Our first stop is the Toshugu Shrine complex (Japan’s most lavish shrine). You can see Buddhism and Shinto together at Toshugu Shrine. Shinkyo Bridge (Red Bridge) ranks as the third finest bridge in Japan. Kegone Falls is ranked as one of the three most beautiful waterfalls in Japan. Chuzenji Lake Let’s have a drive on Japan Romantic Road. This trip is a private charter, and you can customize the trip to your choice. We are open to your suggestions and recommendations. You will have a Nikko-style lunch. Shinkyo Bridge - Shinkyo Bridge is the first structure visitors see before they enter the area of Nikko’s shrines.

Kegon Falls - Kegon Falls is a 97-meter high waterfall in Nikko city. The water from Chuzenji Lake feeds the fall. Visitors to Kegon Falls, one of the three highest waterfalls in Japan, can use an elevator to enjoy the powerful falls.

Lake Chuzenji - Lake Chuzenji is Japan’s highest natural lake, located just west of Nikko and part of the Nikko National Park. It formed about 20,000 years ago when neighboring Mt. Nantai erupted and its lava flow dammed the Daiyo River. The lake is at an altitude of 1,269 meters.

Nikko Tamozawa Imperial Villa Memorial Park - A former summer residence for Emperor Taisho built in 1899 with a beautiful garden. It’s a rare example where the public is allowed access to former royal family housing.
