I would take this tour again! - Michie and Wesley are excellent guides! They were very personable, knowledgeable, and patient. It was 35C with 70% humidity that day and they even gave us their own cooling products to stay cool! I appreciated how quickly Viator accommodated last minute information a nut allergy in our group. All the food was delicious and no epi pen required! The only improvement for Viator is the location map in their app. The first map was great for directions to the train station. But the second map to the meeting point is actually the end point. I assumed it was the correct location without double checking the address. So we were late meeting up with our guides. Overall, it was a fantastic tour and I would highly recommend it!

Not to Be Missed — Family Asakusa Food Tour - Our guide Kay was fantastic! The food selections were authentically Japanese and off the beaten path. She provided depth to the food tastings with her expansive knowledge of Japanese language, history, and culture. She made it enjoyable for all ages. A must do in Tokyo.

Amazing tour guide, so worth it - Moto was our tour guide and she did an amazing job. It was our first day in country, so this was a perfect introduction! She was so accommodating and sweet! My wife and son enjoyed the tour thoroughly and she was super informative!

Family-focused food tour - We had a wonderful few hours with Moroni, exploring Asakusa and sampling Japanese food. My son was really excited to try the different foods, and it helped us know what we were eating for the rest of the trip. Motivo was so gracious and kind and she answered all of our questions about Japanese food and dining culture, and more. And she went out of her way to make it kid-friendly, with origami and fish catching and more. Heads up - you can use the toilet on the basement floor of the Cultural Center before you meet for the tour.

Asakusa family tour - We really enjoyed our tour. Our guide Kay was very knowledgeable and engaging, but also fun and super friendly. The whole family enjoyed sampling the food and visiting this beautiful area and the Senso-ji temple. We were very happy and we feel we learned a lot! We would recommend the experience. Thanks Kay and Arigato travel team!!

Incredibly pleasant and knowledgeable guide - We had a great day together with our guide Motoko. She was attentive, friendly and good at adapting the trip to our wishes. She was very good with the children, and got them interested and taught them a lot about Japanese culture, food and religious customs. She also took the time to research about places we wanted to visit afterwards. This was one of the best days of our entire trip to Japan!

Asakusa Food Tour with a tween - My daughter (9) and I recently took the Asakusa Food Tour. We. Had an excellent experience. Our guide, Josh, was very knowledgeable, helpful, and engaging. We learned a lot about the area (and Tokyo/Japan in general) that we would not have otherwise learned. Highly recommend!

Delicious and fun tour - Michie was such an amazing host to our family of 5 (including 3 small children!). She was warm, knowledgeable, and very personable. Although some of our stops ran long (it was a crowded time of the season), she still stayed with us till the end and the tour ran smoothly. We were able to sample all kinds of yummy snacks, had lunch as well, and learned so much about the food and the history of food in Japan. Would highly recommend.

Fun tour, but probably too expensive - We had a good time on this tour and our guide was really sweet and personable. However, for the price point (this tour cost nearly 3x the amount of our favorite food tour with another company in Japan 😳), I'm not sure the value is there. For example, in other tours, we stopped at places to taste foo that we didn't recognize or wouldn't have been drawn towards. On this tour, we had fried chicken and shaved ice...things my kids probably would have asked for anyway. We were also hoping that there might be other kids on the tour so my kids could talk with them while we got a little downtime, but no luck. Overall, absolutely nothing to complain about, but I would probably just wander the area on my own.

Not worth the price. - I was not overly impressed by this tour, particularly since the price is very high. I learned very little about Japan or Tokyo. I don't feel like our guide was very knowledgeable. I wouldn't recommend it.
