A creative break in a fast-paced city🙂 - This was such a lovely crafting experience. Patricia is an excellent teacher: She guided me through the process of making my own goshuin book using recycled papers and scraps of kimono fabric. I now have a book to collect my stamps from temple and shrine visits, and it also has a special memory of taking a creative break during a very busy trip to Japan.❤️

Fun craft session and lovely souviner - Signed up for this not really knowing anything about goushin, or goshuin-cho, the guide explained a bit about the background of it all and the process of making the book. After choosing the fabrics, cutting and gluing, it was nice to see it all come together as a finished book. And I've also been using it to collecting goshuin, so it's given me a really lovely and unique souviner of the holiday.

Fun, high quality, eco friendly - Patricia was a friendly and enthusiastic guide to this experience. There was a wide range of fun textiles to choose from and the paper quality in the book was very good. I learned a skill that I could do again at home and would make a great gift. The resulting book was very satisfying and the process of making it was fun!

A memorable moment! - We had a really great time making our Goshuin books, our host was wonderful and we took away something special to look at and remember our time in Japan forever. We headed straight to the nearest temple for our first stamp!

An enjoyable start to a Tokyo visit, would recommend! - We enjoyed starting the morning with this relaxing and engaging activity. Karin was a wonderful host. She was patient and gave clear directions, and we had a nice conversation. We appreciated the unique keepsake to bring home from our visit. We opted to purchase a smoothie while we were there, and it was very good. Thank you for your kind hospitality.

Underwhelming experience - It was fun and enjoyable for the most part. The host was busy most of the time with some other activity and people. Apparently there was an event going on at the shrine and her and others were busy practicing. She came over now and then to look at my work and put out more glue. She gave basic guidance on how to assemble the book but otherwise was not around. Might be fun for a group of people if you can communicate and enjoy it with one another, but solo, I was basically sitting there by myself gluing paper on cardboard. The materials felt lacking, it was just solid color paper, some fabric, scissors and glue.
