Washi Making - This was a great class to take. We learned so much about washi paper and had so much fun learning to make it. Great way to beat the summer heat in Japan and do something out of the ordinary at the same time!

Amazing experience! - We watched a video on the history of washi paper making and then got to do the later steps ourselves. You can pay extra for colorful paper and you certainly should as it makes for much more beautiful paper. The shop is small and the process is very easy to follow and you end up with some very cool post card sized paper!

Fun activity with family - Did this activity with 3 teenage daughters. We enjoyed learning about how the paper is made starting from the mulberry tree itself and then actually using the fibers to make our own paper/postcards . To add a color design there was a small fee- would rather have had this included with original cost but it was minimal. the instructor was friendly and answered questions about technique and history.
