- 3-chōme-20-18 Daizōji - The meeting point is JR Takatsuki Station, conveniently situated between Kyoto and Osaka stations. It’s just a 15-minute train ride from either direction, making it easily accessible for participants from both cities.
First, participants will receive a brief introduction to the history of Taiko and its importance in Japanese culture.
Next, they will have the opportunity to write their wishes in Kanji (Japanese characters) on a Hachimaki, a traditional Japanese headband.
Then, they will enjoy a powerful Taiko demonstration by a professional instructor.
Following the demonstration, a friendly instructor will teach the basic movements and techniques of Taiko drumming.
Finally, participants will play a simple piece of music together. The experience concludes with a commemorative photo in traditional Japanese attire, including a happi and hachimaki.
Playing Taiko together will be an unforgettable experience in Japan.
