Great day out - This was an excellent day put the journey to Ayutthaya was relative easy in the bus the guide was very good but sometimes she did start talking before all guests arrived. The boat journey back was I think the highlight of the day seeing life on the river. Normally not a big fan of a buffet lunch this changed my mind the food was fresh replenish frequently and the selection of Thai and international was well balanced

A great day trip - Ayutthaya was amazing although getting soaked to the skin in a thunderstorm was not great! ( Not the tour company's fault!) The guide - Donna- was delightful and really knowledgeable. It would be worth making a longer visit to Ayutthaya as felt there were many things we did not see

#Ayutthaya Temple - Ayutthaya Ayutthaya, Thailand's ancient capital, is a captivating destination that immerses visitors in its rich history. Founded in 1350, this UNESCO World Heritage site boasts an impressive array of historical ruins, including majestic temples and towering stupas. The city’s highlights include Wat Phra Si Sanphet with its iconic chedis, Wat Mahathat where the famous Buddha head entwined in tree roots can be seen, and Wat Chaiwatthanaram, which offers stunning riverside views. Wandering through Ayutthaya’s archaeological park, visitors can appreciate the intricate architecture and gain insight into the grandeur of the once-thriving Kingdom of Siam. Its blend of historical significance and scenic beauty makes Ayutthaya a must-visit for anyone interested in Thailand's cultural heritage

Well worth it - The best way to start my solo visit to Bangkok. The pickup from my non-pickup listed hotel, bus trip to and river cruise back from the Ayutthaya Temples was professionally timed and run. Donna (tour guide) was exceptional and knowing we were in her home “town” made the experience even more moving. I totally recommend this as a must do.
