Unique Railway Tour – Perfectly organized and unforgettable! - The Meaklong Railway Tour was simply awesome! Our guide took us to the perfect stop so we had great window seats on the left. The drive and the entrance to the station, where we greeted the waiting people with high fives, were a real highlight. Everything was super organized and impressive – our guide knew exactly where to go. The subsequent visit to the floating market was also great. There is much to buy there, the food was delicious, and we enjoyed the trip to the fullest. Overall an unforgettable experience that we can only recommend!

Great tour! - This railway market is a must visit place if you’re in Bangkok. I booked a tour package that included railway market and floating market and never regret it. It’s a once in a lifetime experience. I booked the tour from my hotel travel desk. The highlight of the tour is that we get to board the train and stopped at Maeklong train station. Passengers on the train were greeted with loud cheers and clapping and the constant photo takings and videos from tourists who had lined up along the tracks to welcome the train. The feeling is amazing!! My family and I didn’t expect that! Here at the station, you can finds lots of stalls and shops selling all kinds of souvenirs and local food. After spending some time here, we head next to floating market and also had a great time too. Do book a tour to railway market and floating market if you’re in Bangkok. Highly recommended!!

Railway and Floating Markets. - This was a great day out in Bangkok. The train ride coming into the markets was truly something that has to be seen. Then to wonder along the track and witness the train departing from the side of the tracks! The floating markets another interesting time meandering through the canals and having locals show their wares.

Out of town but worth the trip - Thoroughly enjoyed this day out. The train to the market was fun and we were able to experience both sides of the station. Inside and outside of the train. The floating market is an experience. But relaxing.

Definitely go for it.. unique Experience!! - My 2nd time.. it’s a good new experience to explore. Will definitely recommend to all. However our guide looked like it was monotonous work. He did not enjoy the work. No info about the place. Also there was a lot waiting to get into the boat. With kids it’s difficult to wait, waste time and not explore.

The tour operator was FANTASTIC. The markets themselves not so much. - The tour operator was GREAT! She was punctual and so friendly. We hoped on a bus very early in the morning. Drove an hour and jumped on a train for 30 min to ride into the market ( Our favorite part) We arrived at the railway market and had about 30 min to explore It was SOOO BUSY you couldn't really shop for anything if you wanted to make it to the meeting spot onetime. It was a very touristy place. The railway market was absolute CHAOS. A few minutes before the train came people started scurrying to get into a spot to not get hit. Everywhere we went to stand we were being yelled at and told to move. To the point where the train was coming and someone from a cafe came and pulled us in there so we weren't just standing on the tracks. After that we jumped back on the bus for 20 min and made our way to the floating market. We had 45 min to wander around before we met back up to ride the boats. It was less crowded so you could easily walk around and shop or eat. When it was time to get on the boats it was a madhouse. There were so many boats on the water going different directions. boats were hitting each other. You had to constantly be on the lookout incase the front of someones boat was coming towards you so you could put your hands out and redirect it from hitting you. This lasted 30 min. We couldn't wait to get off the boat.

Good but a bit too short - We had a lovely time, Bird is a very good guide. However, I would recommend going for a longer tour, as we only had 25-30 min to roam each market and it was not enough.

Definitely for the tourist. - This company do not do hotel pickups and made that quite clear. They also made clear you would be dropped off at the same pickup point. This was not case, we were dropped off 15-20 drive away. That isn’t acceptable. The guide said people were informed of this but we were not. Hence reduced star rating. We enjoyed the train and floating market but it’s all a bit rushed. It takes 1.5 hours to get there and same to get back.

Thinly veiled tourist trap - It was good to see the sites, but you could quickly see through the facade of this tour. It was basically to try to get to spend as much money with their specific vendors without giving you a real tourist experience. For example, at the Railway Market, they literally gave us 7 minutes at the market - just enough time to buy a smoothie from the most overpriced smoothie shop at the whole market. At the floating market, as soon as we got off the boat, we were escorted by the tour guide into a “private room” with counterfeit luxury bags. Honestly, l would go back on my own and skip travelling with the company because all the tour guide kept doing was just selling things to us.
