Highly Recommend this Trip - A very enjoyable experience. We went on a private tour with a guide (Nutty) and driver which was perfect for an intimate experience. Nutty was an excellent guide. She shared information about Thai culture and history along the way, and just the right amount. Although Nutty stayed with us when we went to the markets, she allowed us to explore without imposing herself too much. The boat trip along the canal was about 25 minutes which was perfect and our time in the market was spot on. Stopping at the coconut farm on the way home was a lovely surprise, and very interesting. The drive from Bangkok to the floating market was long (nearly 2hours), but well worth it. An excellent trip all round thanks to Nutty (and our driver)!

Floating Market Experience - Our guide was very friendly and informative. The coconut farm was a quick interesting and added bonus to the experience. The floating market is definitely for tourist. We went during the week so I expected it to be not as crowded but it still was. The actual boat ride could have been longer as we didn’t go past all the shops. My recommendation is pick the price you are willing to pay for your trinkets and souvenirs and go from there. The negotiating and back and forth with shop owners is a bit much. They pretty much sell the same items, would be nice if they could get together and diversify the offerings. We were told that this is a private floating market so the owners know what everyone is selling.

Good value and Educational - The tour was educational and good value for the cost. The floating market itself, I find, is very commercial and geared for tourists.

Market very interesting - The guide was great, very knowledgeable and friendly. The trip out to the market was long 1 1/2 hours each way. The boat at the market was too small for 6 people.

Long way to go for not very much - Enjoyed the market itself and boat trip. Excellent selection of local food. It is a tourist attraction not a proper market. Downside is a very long journey. In our case with a full bus with no air conditioning so that temperatures got to 39 degrees and an unnecessary stop at a ‘coconut factory’ on the way home
