Frustrating and very disappointing - Terrible, do not book this your. Our original tour got cancelled 10 minutes after we were suppose to be picked up from our hotel at 6am so we have to change to another day. This was only clarified after our hotel concierge rang the tour operator repeatedly for us. The tour takes you to the old town which I was really looking forward to seeing but they take you to random buildings to take pictures of instead of the historical buildings or architecture. This was very disappointing. We were then taken to several shops where we were followed around trying to sell us items. We spent 40 minutes sat in the cafe at the tiger park while other guests had pictures taken with tigers. The tiger park was not part of the tour we booked and is not something that we personally agree with, nor did we wish to wait around whilst others enjoyed the tigers. In general the things we actually were interested in visiting, the temple, the old town, Big Buddha were rushed whilst we wasted time in the shops and waiting for the tiger tour. We were told a car would take us directly back to our hotel at the end of the tour, and that this meant we didn’t need to go via Patong where the other guests were being dropped. 40 minutes later we were in Patong, 50 minutes from our hotel, and then asked to leave this vehicle and get in another different vehicle to take us back to our hotel. So a 40 minute journey took the best part of 2 hours.
