Visitors will likely be welcomed at their vehicle by our friendly livestock guardian dogs, Zeke and Hugo, who will gladly accompany them to the cabin to begin the tour, in exchange for some affection and cuddles.
The tour starts with a brief introduction to the history of our property and the journey that brought us here. Participants will then venture outside to meet our amazing reindeer before exploring our picturesque homestead and private nature trails. Along the way, they will learn about sustainable food production and foraging in the unique boreal forest ecosystem. The tour also includes a visit to our forest gardens, showcasing a variety of cultivated plant species.
The tour concludes back in the cabin, where guests can enjoy some of our favorite homesteading snacks and perhaps an herbal tea made from one of the plants discovered during the tour.
