Join us for a tour to discover the life of these incredible athletes and understand why they are exceptional sled dogs. Get to know the dogs of Susitna Sled Dog Adventures! Join us in the dog yard and enjoy some fun with a lively group of sled dogs as they run around the fenced in yard. Explore the world of sled dogs, learn what it takes to compete in races, and understand why these incredible animals thrive in this unique role. We’ll tell you stories about the dogs and share adventures from the trails. After some playtime in the yard, we’ll dress up a dog in a harness, show you the sled, and talk about the winter gear we use. If we have any puppies, we’ll end the visit cuddling with the next generation of athletes.
This is a great activity for dog lovers who want to learn about sled dogs, and more importantly, get a dose of dog therapy.

Sled Dogs--up close and personal! - We had a GREAT time visiting the dogs--and people!--at Susitna. Rohn introduced us to quite a few of the dogs and then led us on a walk with them around their property. The dogs were super friendly and obviously happy. Rohn and Alyssa shared so much knowledge with us and answered all of our endless questions. And it was great to see little Kaladin starting early in the family business. :) We even got to meet ten 9 week old puppies! Super cute. Really enjoyed ourselves.

A Great Afternoon with Precious Sled Dogs - I was traveling with my 20 yr old son, staying in Talkeetna, and we had an afternoon to burn. I called Susitna Sled Dog Adventures and spoke to Alyssa. She set up a tour, I think it was same day. We had a blast! Rohn spent so much time with us introducing us to the dogs--oh my gosh, there were so many beautiful pups--taking them for a walk on their beautiful property and telling us all about sled dog racing and caring for the dogs on his team. And we got hang out with the new puppies. What a cool experience! I hope to go back in winter and go out on the trail with these amazing dogs.

Sled Dog Kennel Tours - The sled dog tour was one of the highlights of the trip to Alaska! Rohn and Alicia were wonderful. The dogs are beautiful and we learned a lot about being a sled dog and musher competition! Highly recommend this tour!

Wonderful Experience with Alaskan and Siberian Huskies - Rohn and Alcia were awesome hosts. Been in Alaska for 8 days. The kennel tour was fabulous and one of the best things we did! So fun to see and pet all the dogs. Learned a ton about mushing. Highly recommend this tour. Wonderful people including Callidan!! Thank you Alcia and Rohn.

Amazing time with Husky's and learning the mushing way! - This tour really was one of our highlights as Alyssa and Rhon really did a lot to make the day special. Due to weather, our flightseeing was canceled and they really helped to make up for the flight let down. They really are wonderful people and so willing to teach everything they know about their huskys, mushing, and the Alaskan lifestyle. Really a fun trip with them and we can't say enough amazing words to describe how special it was to hang with the dogs and learn so much.

Wonderful summer day with the sled dogs - What an amazing day! We spent a couple of the most relaxing hours of our trip with Alyssa, Rohn and their amazing family of huskies. Loved learning about the dogs while petting them and get lots of licks. Enjoyed learning about their training, races and just overall life in Alaska. Their love for their dogs and their sport is clearly obvious. Would love to return if I ever am lucky enough to be back in Alaska. Thank you for a wonderful day!
