Go, Diego, Go! - Our tour was awesome! Our tour guide was amazing! Diego Gomez was super professional, knowledgeable, and such a great person to take us to see the beautiful waterfalls. We truly enjoyed learning about the Salvadorian history and Diego was well versed in all of it! Muchas gracias, Diego. Esperamos hacer otro tour con usted. 🤗

Delighted and exhausted! - Diego was the guide from start to finish and was wonderful, punctual, attentive, polite, good talk and observant, he was aware of any situation during the journey, explained in detail everything we would do, had patience and respect. At the falls we were accompanied by Freddy who was also very friendly and attentive, if you can request it, better. Get ready to walk! It's not hard but it's also not easy, to wear proper shoes and stay hydrated

The great adventure - Diego, our guide, was highly knowledgeable and exceptionally helpful throughout our adventure. Awesome tour to the Falls and Beach with a super fun guide and two other awesome couples - Diego picked me up on time and we headed to Tunco and picked up 2 other couples…headed to the falls . we all had such a fun time together. Diego was a lot of fun and he provided us with lots of history and stories as we adventured around. I struggled with the climb up having to stop and rest at least 5 or 6 times. Diego and our other local guide (Billy maybe) were in front and back of me in case I had an issue with anything, which was greatly appreciated. We made it up then walked around and had lunch on the water. An awesome afternoon, I highly recommend this tour.. ask for Diego!! Extra stuff people like to know…Safety 10/10. Badazz adventure - The trek was truly incredible, and our tour guide Diego made the experience both informative and entertaining. We challenged ourselves by rucking the entire way with approximately 20 lbs of weight, which added an exciting and rewarding element to the adventure. Epic Unmissable Day Trip - I had such a great time with El Salvador Positive Tours, and honestly, I can’t recommend them enough. I was traveling solo and this tour was the perfect way to explore the country, meet other travelers, and see some unreal spots. From the start, the agency was super responsive—I actually booked the wrong date and they let me switch it with no extra fees, which I really appreciated. Everything felt super easy and smooth. Our guide Diego was amazing. He was so positive, kind, and genuinely fun to be around. He knew so much about El Salvador and shared a ton of cool facts throughout the day, but also made the experience feel really relaxed and personal. I forgot something important that morning and he had no problem making a quick stop so I could grab it. He also checked in constantly to see how we were doing, offered to carry my bag when I was struggling (so sweet), and made sure we all felt included and taken care of. The hike to the Tamanique Waterfalls is definitely a trek—steep and a little intense—but 100% worth it. The waterfalls were gorgeous, the water felt amazing, and we got some of the best Insta pics of the whole trip. Everyone in our group was traveling solo, and it ended up being such a good vibe. After the hike, we went to Playa El Tunco, which is such a cute surf village. I really wanted to squeeze in a surfing lesson, and Diego had some great recs of where. My lesson ended up going a little over time, and he was totally chill about it—didn’t rush me at all and had the best attitude the whole time and was so excited I had a good time. If you’re in El Salvador and want a day that’s active, beautiful, and super well-run, this is the one. Great for solo travelers (like me), but would also be perfect for couples, friends, or even families. I’d 100% do it again.

Fantastic tour company and fantastic guide - Tour guide Diego was the best! I am a solo female traveler who cannot speak Spanish (shame on me, I know). I was supposed to be on a tour with two other people who canceled at the last minute, and despite it being just me, the tour company went ahead with the trip, instead of canceling on me. Diego made me feel safe and comfortable the whole time. He was full of interesting information. The hike to and from the waterfalls was steep and long, but he went slow for me and was patient with me, always checking if I needed anything. Fantastic tour company and fantastic guide. The waterfalls themselves were a nice getaway from the city, and good exercise, but don’t be in a hurry and remember to wear good shoes.

Great Adventure! - We had an amazing experience with Josué Romero as our guide during our tours to Tamanique Waterfalls and El Tunco Beach, and Antigua Guatemala. Josué was knowledgeable,and passionate about sharing the history of these incredible places. The Tamanique Waterfalls were breathtaking, and the hike was a perfect adventure. Our local guide for the hike, Freddy was very kind and helpful.Tunco Beach was a relaxing spot with great restaurants. The next day we went to Antigua Guatemala and Josué was again our tour guide 😊 Antigua is full of charm and rich culture, worthy of the long drive 🛻. Josué's attention to detail and personalized approach made the trips unforgettable. Highly recommend!

Amazing experience - This tour to the Tamanique waterfalls and El Tunco beach was a great experience. I do wish the company would have reached out ahead of time, proactively to advise on pick up time. I received pick up time at 8 pm the night before. Also, I thought this was a group tour, but it was just the guide, my husband and son. This actually turned out to work well because we were able to go at our own pace and did not feel rushed. The hike down to waterfalls was challenging. It was worse going back up, but our guide was patient and let us take many breaks. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and be prepared to sweat!! We had the waterfall to ourselves for about 30 minutes and it was wonderful! The water was clear and cool! An unforgettable experience! I highly recommend this tour.
