Beautiful waterfalls with a great guide to show you the way - this is an absolute must do when heading to el tunco! I am a solo female traveler who felt so safe throughout the whole of El Salvador! Salva is an amazing tour guide who gives such good information on the surrounding areas! The waterfalls are absolutely beautiful and so much fun to jump off of (don’t chicken out ;))

Tamanique Waterfalls! - Visited Tamanique Waterfalls during my trip to El Salvador and it was amazing!! Salva was awesome. Tour was well organized and Salva was very communicative and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend for those visiting :) (Tip - Bring water shoes).

Tamanique waterfall experience! - My family and I had an amazing experience hiking the Tamanique waterfalls. The waterfalls were phenomenal and with the most stunning views. We had the pleasure of having Tunco life as our tour guide. I would like to express how wonderful their hospitality was and were very thorough with the overall experience. 10/10 recommend and will be visiting again in the near future.

Amazing Waterfall Experience - For someone who is not a hiker, the trek to and from the waterfall is challenging for sure, but it is totally doable and totally worth it once you get to the falls. It was so visually beautiful and refreshing to swim in after the hike in. Chamba and Freddie were so kind and let me go at my pace. I can’t recommend Tunco Life Tours as your waterfall hike guides enough—such a wonderful team! Muchas gracias!

Beautiful waterfalls, great guide! - Hike was beautiful down to the waterfalls. Chamba was a fantastic tour guide, showed us some amazing cliff jumping spots. Overall, fantastic experience. The hike back up was challenging for sure, but for the views and experience, it was well worth it!

Excellent experience - Had a great experience on this tour! The guides were so helpful and friendly. The hike was strenuous (especially leaving) but you’re going to a waterfall on the side of a mountain so what can you expect?

Tamanique waterfalls - The waterfalls were absolutely beautiful and our tour guide was very knowledgeable and patient with us and showed us everything about the hike. The hike however was not for the weak nor for anyone out of shape. You basically have to go back up a MOUNTAIN one hour to get back to the streets which u definitely need to be in shape for. I am in somewhat good shape and it was still difficult. Despite the hike back up the mountain being hard the views were amazing and the guide was very good ..

THE HIKE TO THE WATERFALL IS NOT 20 MINS! - I want to first state and make clear, the hike (not walk) is NOT 20 minutes as indicated in the tour description. It is more like 50 mins to an hour long hike over a rocky terrain. I would only recommend this for anyone in top physical condition, with no muscle or joint issues. I also recommend that you wear appropriate foot wear with ankle support. The walk to and from the waterfall is very challenging and rocky. You will need your core, arms, and legs for balance and support. On the way to the waterfall, you are walking down hill, however, be careful not to slip on the rocks or narrow paths. After visiting the waterfalls you have to walk 50 plus mins back up! Also, there are many stray dogs along the path. They are very friendly sweet dogs, but they will run or brush past you while you are attempting to hike over the rocks. Our guide was kind and friendly. The waterfall is very nice and beautiful. There are a few places along the hike to buy bottled water if needed.
