- Iguana Surf Camp & Surf Shop - Our professional tour guides will start your adventure with a presentation and explanation of how to ride our horses. The departure will be in front of Iguana Surf Shop Tamarindo (you will see our horses on the beach across from Iguana surf) and from there we’ll start heading south along the Tamarindo shore. We will take stops on the way at different sites to enjoy the views. The route has beautiful sites from where you can photograph stunning sunsets (if you choose to ride in the afternoon) , rock formations shaped by the repeated fall and rise of the sea, and spot holler monkeys up in trees.The final destination can be as far as Langosta beach which boasts wildlife exotic birds, and sloths if the time is right. Tamarindo is famous for its waves so you will also see many surfers at this wonderful beach. This will be a Pura Vida style Tour on the beach and forest with our great horses. You will see surfers, nature and animals from the saddle. Our tour is unique and magical, especially early in the morning or at sunset. Let us know what time you’d like to ride and we will adjust the time booked. Tours from 6 am to 6pm. We want to make sure you enjoy the experience.

The endpoint of the journey could extend till Langosta Beach, but the final decision rests with you about how far south you want to venture. Through our Pura Vida style Tour, you will ride along the beach and through forests on our fine horses, providing a front-row seat to witness surfers, wildlife, and the natural beauty surrounding you. This horseback riding... - This horseback riding tour on the beach was an absolutely great experience. The ride itself was breathtaking, with stunning coastal views and a serene atmosphere. The horses were well-trained and gentle, making the experience both enjoyable and comfortable. Our tour guide, Jeronimo was very knowledgeable and made sure we were safe at all times. Given the quality of the tour and the beautiful setting, I believe the price is more than reasonable. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a memorable and picturesque horseback riding adventure.

Breathtaking sunset horse ride - My two friends and I were over the moon with our horseback riding experience!! This more than exceeded our expectations- we rode our horses along the water as the sun set and the view was absolutely breathtaking. Our tour guide was so kind, careful, attentive, informative, and his love for the horses showed!! This is a MUST DO for your Tamarindo experience!

Great Experience! - I always wanted to try a horseback ride on a beach at Sunset. I got my chance in Tamarindo on a Sunday evening. It was just an overall great experience. The tour operator was very responsive to our questions about the meet up location and I had a great ride with other riders. Jeronimo was our tour guide and he did a fantastic job of riding instruction. He was also very helpful to me . We headed north up the beach and got to see a wedding party on the beach. Jeronimo took great pictures of us at several breach sunset locations, and it will be a great memory for me for a very long time. The horses are well taken care of. It was very much worth it!

Morning Ride on the Beach - Great experience. We had the 9am ride. We rode the beaches of Tamarindo. Great scenery and great fun. Highly recommend.

Great Family Activity! - Definitely recommend. My 9 year old daughter and I did this together. She’s very timid and I was a little worried but she was paired with the sweetest little horse that she was able to handle and feel confident and independent on. There were younger children with another family and the guides lead their horses. They did a great job matching riders to horses and the horses were calm and sweet but still fun and capable! The beach at sunset was beautiful, the guides lovely!

A bucket list experience - Riding horses on the beach is a wonderful experience. The guides were kind. However it was a bit overpriced. You can rent horses for less on the beach.

Decent experience, just need to focus on the job at hand... - The ride was ok. The guide was about 15 minutes late. Also, we were a bit frustrated because our guide stopped to talk to no less than 7 other people along the way. He would stop for a good 2 minutes with each encounter. I appreciated the solid communication and customer service from an administrative perspective, but was disappointed in the guide.

Not fun - Please dont book!!!!!! - So we paid about $80 per person - for this just a 45 minutes hardback ride right on the beach across from our hotel which -5 times more than some random horse guys were offering the price.
Two adults and two toddlers our toddlers sat with us. You need two horses still they charge the full priced for our kids and guide hardly spoke english and not much guiding us with anything except riding the horse. There was no information given. There was no fun experience. Maybe we asked for some few photos to take, and that felt like they were irritated when we asked him to take our photos, I don’t think I would recommend this to anyone.
Viator - you should know better please take away this company from your website. The companies on your site/app are pretty good - which people trust. This tour company does not belong on Viator.
Only fun part our daughters liking the horses. ( Even the horses were not taken care of - Ny horse had some kind of open injury to his ear which I pointed out to them - Hope they took care of him)
