Great River/Cultural Tour in Guanacaste!! - We spent a perfect day with our experienced, outgoing and knowledgeable tour guide Fernando from Kikes Tours”. Starting with the pickup directly from our hotel in Tamarindo Beach to the quick coffee stop (for real Costa Rican brew), to the bouncy ride up to Palo Verde NP, everything was off to a great start!
On the river with other adventure seekers, plus nature guides and Fernando, we saw many beautiful birds, crocodiles, white faced capuchin monkeys in just the nearly 2 hours spent cruising. We finished up with authentic Costa Rican lunch made on open wood burning stoves and a rare sight of red macaws overhead squeaking above in the trees.
If you’re looking to spend less than a full day from your hotel but want to experience the beautiful nature and people of Costa Rica, then this tour with ever accommodating Fernando is the perfect trip to book. I highly recommend it.

Great Service - Enriqu was pleasant. A great driver and wonderful guide. He picked us up from the airport and when there was an accident that would make him late for the pickup and asked someone else to take us to a meeting spot so we didn’t have to wait. I appreciate the consideration. He was also a great guide through rainforest. And also recommended an awesome surfing instructor!! I am about to request his services again, which reminded me to write this review from our last trip. 😊

Great Times! - I can't recommend Enrique enough. If you are in NW Costa Rica and need anything from an airport shuttle to comprehensive activities all around the country,.....Enrique and his team are your one stop shop. As a bonus, Enrique is a true historian of Costa Rica and offers great insights into the country and culture. We will definitely use him again in the future.

What an Amazing Day & Tour Guide! - Enrique is nothing short of an amazing person and tour guide. Our time with him was the highlight of our two-week stay in Costa Rica.
Enrique communicated consistently with us prior to the day of our excursion, clearly answering questions and extending an invitation to personalize our experience. On the day of our private tour, he showed up exactly on time, greeting us with genuine enthusiasm and warmth. His new van was in impeccable condition, clean, comfortable and air-conditioned.
Our first stop, was for coffee and pastries before heading toward our final destination. Throughout the drive, he provided us with details on the landscape, the communities we drove through, farming and agriculture we passed, the history, philosophy, and infrastructure of Costa Rica. Enrique speaks excellent English so communication was easy. He was able to knowledgeably answer any of the questions we asked and after exchanging personal stories, we felt like we were adventuring with an old friend.
Enrique scheduled a rainforest tour that accommodated the varied age groups of our family: easy trail walking but with access to exotic plants and wildlife. We were in awe -- so beautiful.
Once we completed our rainforest tour, Enrique booked a coffee and chocolate plantation tour. We got to sample products, learn about production, optimal coffee bean roast, the health benefits of chocolate & coffee, and preparation for the perfect cup of coffee.
Finally, toward the end of our tour, we stopped at La Casona, a local, family owned, restaurant. Undeniably, the best dining experience we had enjoyed during our entire trip. The staff was very friendly, the large windows offered stunning views of the surrounding fields and mountains, and the traditional food was prepared to perfection.
After lunch, we headed back to the sunshine and heat of the west coast. On our 2.5-hour drive, conversation was lively and engaging. Upon arriving home, Enrique and our family shared thanks and gratitude for a day well spent together and parted ways with hugs.
I cannot say enough about what an excellent and engaging host and ambassador Enrique is to his guests who wish to explore and learn more about his beautiful country of Costa Rica. I highly recommend when in the Tamarindo area.

Fantastic tour - We had a wonderful tour of Costa Rica with Esteban! He was fantastic and sharing the history of Costa Rica, guiding us to an area where we got to have a crocodile/birdwatching tour and took us to many parts of the area. It was a perfect tour! We ended the day sharing a meal at the Fish market! Yum!!! Thumbs up.

Amazing tour seeing sloths and other wildlife in Costa Rica! - Enrique was absolutely amazing! He picked us up, right on time from our Airbnb and we did a tour to a sloth reserve. The drive from the beach we stayed at to the rainforest was 2.5 hours and it went by so quickly because Enrique was teaching us all about the towns we are passing through and entertaining us the entire time.
The reserve we went to was great, we saw so many animals in their natural element. Toucans, frogs, a viper snake, and sloths! Our tour guide Walter was hilarious and knowledgeable.
We ended the tour with a delicious Costa Rican lunch at a restaurant overlooking a beautiful pasture.
The entire experience was wonderful and the whole family enjoyed (ages 5 through 62). I highly recommend you book a tour with!

Enrique is an absolute pleasure! - We went on a private tour for our honeymoon with Enrique, and he gave us rides to and from the airport. He was such an amazing guide, very knowledgeable and funny and made you feel like a VIP all the time. He provided snacks, drink and tons of knowledge about Costa Rican life, we even had lunch in Santa Cruz with him and his son on Annexation Day weekend! Enrique is fantastic and you'd be missing out to pick anybody else.

A True Gem! - From the moment I contacted Enrique, I knew he was the right fit for my family's adventure needs during our trip to Costa Rica. I had previously contacted several companies; however, Enrique provided a more personalized and intimate approach that we were seeking. Enrique is a stellar communicator. I informed him of everyone's wants and he was able to make it all happen in a very organized manner. We spent 3 days with Enrique consisting of: hanging bridges, hiking, coffee and chocolate plantation, river with amazing wildlife, pottery, waterfall, natural hot springs, and mud bath. We also were treated to traditional Costa Rican lunches, pastries, and drinks. I was able to pick the exact days upfront which was helpful. Pricing and the method of payment was communicated upfront so there were no surprises or hidden fees. Our family consisted of two parents/adults, two young children, and one grandmother/adult. Enrique has a true gift to connect with ages 0-99! Enrique took the time to connect with my children and answer all their burning questions. He was patient in listening to my 3-year-old daughter sing on the drive home. Enrique assisted my mother during challenging moments of a hike to safely navigating a hanging bridge. Enrique humanized our experience by incorporating history of not only his family but his friends and community along with communities we passed on the way. The more time we spent with Enrique, the more we felt like he was a part of our family. Enrique was flexible, kind, humorous, and on time. Enrique's van was impeccable; his driving was incredibly safe- even during moments of major rain. Enrique exceeded our expectations in experiencing Costa Rican history, culture, wildlife, food, and more!
