- Charyn Canyon National Park - The Charyn Canyon stretches 154km along the Charyn River (one of the deepest rivers of the Northern Tien Shan mountains). Wind, water and sand sculpted Charyn’s red sandstone to form its shapes and shades. Some of the cliffs resemble particular figures, which is why some parts of the canyon are also called the “Valley of Castles”, the Witch’s Gorge, and the Ghosts Gorge.

The Charyn Canyon is located 200 kilometers away from Almaty, near the border with China, on the territory of the Charyn National Natural Park. The canyon stretches for 154 kilometers along the Charyn River and is formed from sedimentary rocks which are 12 million years old.

An outstanding experience in Bhutan - We had a fantastic trip to Bhutan and it was all organized by Pelden and his team. The tour was very well organized, my guide was phenomenal and the country definitely a must. So, I recommend it without any doubt!

Charyn Canyon - the Grand Canyon of Central Asia - My teens and I had a great time exploring Charyn Canyon with our guide Togzhan. The views were gorgeous especially from the top. So be sure to climb up rather than just walk on the flat ground. It's very cold in the winter but the view and experience is well worth it.

Had a fantastic time with Skyway - Seeing Charyn Canyon was definitely a highlight of the trip that no traveller to Almaty should miss - the landscape is breathtaking! When we arrived we were given the option of walking or riding a vehicle through the canyon, both are a great way to enjoy it up close. I was very impressed with how well-organised the entire tour was. The journey there was smooth, the guide was fantastic and when we were there we enjoyed a local lunch in a beautiful spot by the river. Such a great day!
A huge thanks to the hardworking Skyway team for making my 5 days in Almaty so memorable. They always went above and beyond to make sure everyone was happy and I honestly can’t recommend them enough. Other highlights like the hawk show, Shymbulak and a city tour opened my eyes to how much more there is to see in this country. Look forward to returning to tick off more sights off my list. Thanks again ☺️

Skyway: professional and flexible - I was really impressed by the whole Skyway team which made my 5 days in Kazahstan really enjoyable. The were opened to change our itinerary as per our wishes day prior the departure, they were always in a good mood, they even took as dancing to local pub/club. I will never forget Charyn canyon, only 35minutes on foot (or 10minutes by a van for lazier or older kinds) from the main entrance to reach the might river at the end with beautiful clear blue river where you can sleep in bungalows or just have a lunch. Besides the Charyn canyon I will never forget the nomad experience, Falcon show near big Almaty lake (the Russian guy was in love with his birds and the birds loved him) and of course the mighty big Almaty lake.
Thank you guy for everything and I hope to see you soon.
I really need to see the Kaindy lake, Kolsay lake, Issyk lake and Altyn Emel National Park as well.

Wonderful experience with Skyway in Almaty - I just spent six days visiting Almaty and surroundings on a trip organised by Skyway and I couldn't be happier about the experience. They are really good professionals that provided the best local guide, top transportation, excellent food and hotel accommodation.... They really go the extra mile to make sure they exceed the client's expectations and they are very fast and flexible. I highly recommend them if you want to discover that wonderful area.

Must visit Charyn Canyon - One of the highlights of my trip to Almaty was Charyn canyon organized by Skyway. Professional guide, comfortable vehicle, good lunch. I simply loved the walk in the canyon admiring the rock formation. The river is refreshing at the end.

Holiday group tour of charyn canyon - Excellent tour. Very informative guide on the way there and kept an eye out for any people who needed help when walking the canyon. He suggested various photo opportunaties.A very good lunch was provided.

Worst experience - I strongly recommend this not to go to almaty through thus travel agency that too when you go as a couple..Very poor response mainly their guide shows too much attitude and try to get extra money from you.If u complain to his owner he will not respond for this..one of the worst travel agency have ever seen in my life...Guys don make your tour worse by choosing them..I strongly requesting you guys..

Terrible experience & Wont Recommend ! - Terrible experience. The tour was agreed changed to this Canyon, no update in voucher, poor internal communication & itinerary not follow what was promised (there is no reservoir as told by guide), finish time shortened, lot staff approach you but most dun know the details, guide only contact you 9pm a day before, no time to do reconfirmation. Will never use this again.
