• The Sail Pavilion on the Riverwalk - An incredibly unique 360-degree open-air, waterfront bar! A beautiful place to take a break, sit for a moment and simply enjoy all the excitement and action that’s taking place along the Riverwalk!
• 333 S Franklin St - What if instead of going for a swim, paddling your canoe or kayak or hopping on a boat, you went for a bike ride down the river instead? We’ll tell you all about it and you can decide!
• Tampa Convention Center - Not only is the building itself very impressive, but as you can probably see, the location is pretty fantastic as well offering guests a beautiful walk and lot’s of things to do.
• USF Park On the Riverwalk - This park is dedicated to the contributions the university, better known as USF, makes to the city of Tampa Bay. We’ll tell you a bit about it and the university itself.
• Tampa Bay - There’s no denying, as we take in the spectacular skyline of downtown Tampa Bay, that this Riverwalk is breathtaking. But, as I’m sure you’ve noticed, Tampa’s natural beauty is pretty breathtaking, too!
• MacDill Park on the Riverwalk - This park was established to honour MacDill Air Force Base’s contributions to Tampa. It may seem pretty small, but its intention is big! We’ll tell you why.
• WGWR+C2X - HILLSBOROUGH RIVER….the snaking, twisting, curvy waterway we’ve been walking alongside flows through Florida from Green Swamp right into Tampa Bay.
• Rivergate Tower Garage - Although designed to resemble a lighthouse, it’s become affectionately known throughout Tampa as…. we’ll tell you!
• Kiley Gardens - The 4.5 acre garden originally showcased 5 separate pools, each with an island & palm tree.. how idyllic! Thanks to the “Friends of Kiley Gardens”, as of 2022, it’s being worked on to bring it more in line with the original vision.
• The University of Tampa - The University of Tamps really is quite an interesting place with a very interesting history! If you want to explore the campus, you can cross the river at either of the bridges and take a look.
• UT Plant Hall - Ghosts of Plant Hall. Spooky footsteps echoing up and down vacant corridors, spectres gliding seamlessly through walls, sightings of the shadowy figure of a distinguished gentleman in a brown suit, the stories of hauntings are plenty!
• Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park - Stretching out to greet the Hillsborough River, like much of the Riverwalk, it uses Tampa’s breath-taking skyline as a dramatic backdrop to family fun and festivities.
• Ybor City - Ybor, in historic downtown Tampa, just across the river from here, was established pretty much entirely by cigar manufacturers. We’ll tell you about the Cuban influence still seen in this area today.
• Water Works Park - Welcome to the latest addition to the Tampa River Walk as of 2022. Hey if it’s a bit hot out, you can always head over to that giant yellow bucket full of water … that should keep you refreshed and cool!
• Armature Works - Take a step back in time to 1910, when streetcars were a familiar sight on Tampa streets. Perhaps you can imagine a little of the community’s excitement as this building first opened its doors. We’ll give you just a bit of it’s history and evolution to today.
